Beyond the hype of modern Prozac books...,
By MotherLodeBeth "MotherLodeBeth" (Sierras of California) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Neurology and Psychiatry: A Meeting of Minds (Hardcover)
I became aware of this book when looking at a framed print which also happens to be the book cover. My husband had suffered serious head injuries due to a drunk driver and we had sought help from Dr Mueller who is a brilliant man. This book is widely used in the top medical schools and has pieces written by well known physicians. It is not an easy read and in fact is a tad staid. But the book has valuable information on how interconnected Neurology and Psychiatry are. Especially in this day and age of head injuries and the era of prozac and other mental health issues. Unlike most popular highly hyped books about prozac and mental health, this book will challenge the reader to think beyond simple answers. It has a very interesting almost Beatrix Potter meets LSD book cover that alone is worth the price of the book.
