This review is from: Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and People with Dementia (Neuropsychological Rehabilitation: A Modular Handbook) (Hardcover)
This is a technical book written for professionals, so it's not light reading for the end of a long day of caregiving. With that caveat -- I'm finding this book excellent. It's illuminating to read about different styles and approaches to caregiving; this has given me insight into my own approach plus options to consider that would benefit both myself and my loved one. I like the way the author thinks about people with dementia; it helps me keeps a positive attitude. I really bought the book for its analysis and summary of loads of studies about ways to help someone with memory and cognition problems -- and it does offer this -- but it offers more too.
