This volume represents a comprehensive overview of the neuropsychology of emotion and the neural mechanisms underlying emotional processing. It draws on recent studies utilizing behavioral paradigms with normal subjects, the brain lesion approach, clinical evaluations of patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders, and neuroimaging techniques. The Neuropsychology of Emotion summarizes research that has been done with regard to the neurochemistry of emotion with regard to head injury and other various neurological traumas. The book also addresses issues with respect to patients' emotional reactions and interventions that are typically used in addressing such problems.
