Product Description

AMAZON KINDLE HDX IS NOT SUPPORTED!

Neuroshima Hex is a fast paced, tactical board game where up to 4 players (human or AI) lead their troops to victory. Every player controls one of the four armies struggling for influence and survival in the world destroyed in a 30 years long war. March with the machines of Moloch, leading its army towards setting the new world order. Become Borgo and unite the forces of the mutants who spread terror in the wastelands. Lead The Outpost - humanity's last and only hope and try to beat the machines in an uneven guerrilla war. Be the boss of The Hegemony - land of gangers not caring about the fate of others and living only for violence and their mad entertainment.

In the world of Neuroshima Hex you need to prove you have what it takes to survive.

Neuroshima Hex is well known in the board game community. Neuroshima Hex holds 100th place in the prestige BoardGameGeek ranking (which contains almost 50,000 games from around the world). In May 2007 Neuroshima Hex was awarded a special jury distinction for the Best Polish Designer Game published in 2006. Neuroshima Hex was also published in the US (by Z-Man Games) and France (by IELLO).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great translation of a fantastic board game. March 22, 2013
By Kevin
This is my first review, but I've been waiting for this game for ages to come to my Kindle Fire.

This is a fantastic game; a great translation of the board game. If you have played the board game, you know what to expect. If not -- this is basically a skirmish game. You choose one of the armies (there is the option to purchase expansion armies), and each army has its own strengths, weaknesses, and tactics. Each army has a "deck" of unit and action tiles that you will pull from and play.

Some of the unit tiles will only be melee actions, and some will only be shooter actions. There are support tiles that add initiative, strength, or life to your units. Some of the action tiles will involve you being able to move your tiles, take out targeted enemy units, or battle. Action proceeds at the same time for each level of initiative -- level 4 initiative units go first, then level 3, and so on. If you have a level 4 initiative unit kill a level 3 initiative unit, you stop that level 3 from causing any damage.

As a game, it plays a bit like chess in its use of tactics, but every game is unique and exciting. I have had this game on my phone for some time and play it whenever I'm bored; it's nice that it has come over to the Amazon store finally.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good June 14, 2013

I've been playing against the AI and having a blast. I played the boardgame for years before I started with the Kindle Fire HD version and it's faithful to the original. No tiles to set up and sort through, very playable solitaire.

3.0 out of 5 stars You might like it more than I did. December 12, 2013

The hex play just wasn't my cup of tea. The graphics are nice though, and no glitches that I came across.

This is my favorite Android game. It's a great adaptation of the board game, and I think it plays even better on Android, since it keeps track of initiative for me, which makes things go much faster. When I need to kill some time, this is what I go to. The only problem I had was that I was not able to view the instructions properly on my device. Here is a link to a PDF with the instructions.
