Battery is worthless,

This review is from: Neuton 26855 36-Volt Battery For CE 6.2 and CE 6.3 Lawn Mowers (Lawn & Patio)
I traded an old gas powred mower in for a Neutron when SMUD had a trade-in program last summer. I got one season out of the battery and now it will not hold a charge. The mower itself is flimsy and I will not purchase another one again. Sad because I believe in zero-emissions products.

Bought this in addition to the battery that came with the Neuton but so far even though we are mowing two lawns each time we mow we have not had to use an additional battery. Just for piece of mind though I think the extra battery is well worth the investment.

Not only did the battery go bad after one year of limited use, the closest place to recycle that battery is in another state. That makes a lot of Green Sense, I mean nonsense!!

36-Volt Battery Replacement For The 6.2 Neuton Mowers,

This review is from: Neuton 26855 36-Volt Battery For CE 6.2 and CE 6.3 Lawn Mowers (Lawn & Patio)
I've used this battery twice and it has performed as described. I have approximately 10,000 sq ft of lawn and so far, I am able to mow the lawn without a recharge. It is in the yellow by the time I finish, but it does finish strong.
I fully charged the battery per the instructions and place it back on the charger after I mow the grass. The battery I had prior to this one was the original that came with the mower and lasted approximately 2 years. It worked fine before I moved but would not charge once I arrived at our new location. So it is possible that it was damaged during the move. Amazon was offering the best price during my search. Paid $114.90 for the 36-Volt battery to fit the 6.2 Neuton Mower, which at the time was the best deal I could find. Did the internet search, Sears, and eBay. --8 Nov 2011 FOLLOW UP Had to reduce the rating to a one star. Battery lasted for 8 months. After 6 months the orange cover started detaching from the rest of the battery. Now that I have tried the Green method, I have to go back to the tried and true gasoline lawn mower. If I had more patience and money to throw away I would probably buy another battery, but I don't. I'm sure the Green method will continue to improve and I may try it again in about ten more years. Good Luck.

The battery doesn't last 15 minutes when fully charged. Not sure if this was a lemon or if they are all this bad.

This battery like many more, has the issue of "memory" if you dont take care of how and when you charge this very heavy battery pack you can reduce its charging capacity greatly. overall was good at beginning ,but not a good purchase.

This battery is a necessity if you have a lawn over one-quarter of an acre that is not perfect and/or level. Having it allows me to complete mowing my multi-terraced lawn in one session while not having to race around the yard to do so. The battery was shipped to me quickly and I put it into service after a day of charging. So far, it's performed well, and I hope that it will do so with proper maintenance. It's certainly easier to charge a battery than to purchase gasoline.....
