It's a spray - this makes it easy to apply.

Doctors and skin care professionals tell us we need to wear sunscreen every day - rain, snow or shine - to prevent skin wrinkles, skin cancer and hyper-pigmentation.
Jill Florio
I like Neutragena's the best because the spray is controlled, the smell isn't too strong, and I like the cooling sensation when applied.

We - as in the entire family - have been using Neutrogena's sunblock spray for at least 3 years and we've been happy with it. We normally use the SPF 45 version at home by the pool and this one at the beach - and it's been good enough in places such as Florida or Mexico. Besides helping us avoid sunburns, and it does, there are a few more reasons that made this product our favorite.

- It's a spray - this makes it easy to apply. I wouldn't call applying sunblock 'fun' but spraying is less of a chore than rubbing it in.
- There's no need to rub it in - yes, we do use a light rub after spraying to even the distribution but it's mostly to avoid wasting it.
- No oily goo on your skin - which partially explains why rubbing it in is not mandatory. This spray is remarkably oil-free.
- Swimming pool friendly (see above) - not much oil in it, which allows our entire family to use the pool with the sunblock.
- No overpowering smell - it does smell a little like 'vacation' but, even if you spray it in a room, the smell goes away rather quickly and while it stays it's not unpleasant.
- Friendly to my skin - I tend to be allergic to things on my skin that contain perfumes but I don't mind Neutrogena's sunblock at all. There is no PABA in this product.
- Water/sweat resistant - it's true.
- Effective for several hours - even after swimming. I use to reapply a little after a second swim but, even though I sometimes forget, I haven't been burned, literally speaking in quite a while.

The one claim the maker makes and I dispute is the 'resists running into eyes'. I don't even understand what 'resists running' means but I would NOT have this applied anywhere near my eyes because if it does run into your eyes it WILL hurt.

Stays on long!
ACTUALLY PROTECTS!

WOW..neutrogena is the damn best! Always creating QUALITY products!

But..I suggest you purchase it at your nearest walgreens, cvs, or walmart because it cost me 10 BUCKS FLAT there! At amazon, you will be paying what..? 14 bucks PLUS shipping..no way! Don't be lazy, get your booty to the store! LMAO!

Anywho, buy it and enjoy it! Best sunscreen out!

I use this product every time I go into the sun and I love it.It is so easy to apply with the mist it provides to can cover large amounts of your body even hard to reach places like your back, and you don't have sticky or slimy fingers (because we all hate that)I can stay out all day long and only re apply every two hours.I must warn you the fumes are very strong I mean EXTREMELY strong so you really want to be careful while applying to your face, especially childrens faces.Other then the fumes it is a great product.

This product really cooled you down when you applied it. The SPF worked really well. I'm English and very fair. We recently spent 3 weeks in Nevada and California and we used this product on myself and my children. Nobody got sunburnt. It was fantastic. Very easy to apply and done in seconds. Easy to carry round with you and re-apply.

I disagree with the comment that this spray does not have a strong smell. It's not quite perfume, but compared to some "traditional" sunscreen lotions, it has a very strong floral scent.

Scent aside, this product made me break out in hives everywhere that I used it (arms, neck, shoulders, back). Obviously, I used the product only once, and then gave the remainder to a friend.

I like other Neutrogena products, including some of their other "spray" (though non-aerosol) products like the Sunless Tanning Spray, but I would strongly *not* recommend this product to anyone with 1) chemical/fragrance sentitivities or allergies (or with family/friends with such sensitivities) or 2) sensitive skin.

I've tried the Neutragena sunscreen, Coppertone Sport spray sunscreen, and the generic Rite Aid pump sunscreen. I like Neutragena's the best because the spray is controlled, the smell isn't too strong, and I like the cooling sensation when applied. The only negatives are that it does still smell (I highly recommend applying it outdoors) and it recommends applying at least 15 minutes before going outside.

The Coppertone sport sprayed all over the place and had a very strong smell. Because the spray was not well controlled, it didn't last long at all. It only lasted about a week of applying it every day, while the Neutragena has lasted much longer. The Rite Aid pump spray is good too because it's easy to control the amount of sunscreen that comes out, but it has to be upright to spray, so it can be a little hard to apply.

Overall the Neutrogena sunblock is very good. I found it at Target for just $8-9 though - much cheaper than on Amazon!

I love this product - it was introduced to me at an outdoor party and when I came home, I logged on and ordered 3. Extremely refreshing and not oily or sticky - love it!
