I cannot express how much I LOVE this product. I was using Oil of Olay Blackhead Scrub for years, but was still having a lot of problems with blackheads on my chin, blemishes on my forhead, and a super oily nose (to the point where I could squeeze the brown oils from the giant pores on/around my nose). I bought this after doing some online research, and holy crap after 1 wash the results were awesome. The pores on my nose were visibly smaller, and after a year and a half of using this product, I now get compliments about my complexion from people who hardly know me. I will say, though, that I don't do the twice-a-day thing that the instructions say on the bottle. I only use it when I shower, more often only if I feel gunky, never more than once a day. I moisten the face, massage it on, rinse it off, pat dry my face, then finish with a bit of face lotion (I use the cheap brand in my area called Top Care). My skin feels good, compliments let me know that I look good too. If you're looking for something new, definitely give this stuff a shot.

Before purchasing this wash, I head already read reviews about it being very drying, but because I have (or used to have until I started using this wash) oily skin I figured it would be fine for me. I could not have been more wrong. The very first time I used it my skin was dry to the point where moisturizer didn't take to it anymore. It felt constantly dry no matter what I applied. I thought this would be alright considering my face had been so oily before, the dryness was a nice change. But by day 3 things started to hurt. The corners of my nose, eyes, and mouth were burning when I put my serums and moisturizer on. I thought maybe it was the moisturizers, but when I woke up and looked in the mirror the next day I couldn't believe it. My skin was so dry it was peeling and sore. My eyelids were completely burned and wrinkled both above and below my eyes. The first thing I saw were two deep, painful wrinkles under my eyes that definitely were not there before (considering I'm 20). Immediately I put on my serums and moisturizers but they barely did anything. My skin still felt dry and burned. It is now the third day after I stopped using this product and my skin is still peeling. I have to apply olive oil and honey to my eyelids to keep them from burning and cracking and my new, unwelcome wrinkles are still there. Please note that my skin is not sensitive at all. I have very thick, tough skin that can handle a lot, so this really shocked and disturbed my. Nobody should use this wash. Oily, dry, combination, acne-prone, it doesn't matter. This product burns and dries the skin like acetone! I would give it no stars if I could because my face is worse than when I started using it.Read more ›

I am like most on here who suffer from acne. I have for most of my life. I started getting acne when I was in the 4th grade and I am now almost 30. I've had moments of clear skin throughout the years, but it seemed in the last 3 years my skin just could not stay clear and getting worse during that time of the month. (I'm sure many can relate) It's been a battle trying to find different products/natural remedies (you name it, I've tried it) to work. I don't have naturally oily skin, but can be prone to excessive oil from various moisturizers. I've done a lot of research on products, have used tons of products etc. They all vary also in salicylic acid. I've had 2% or 5%. This has never seemed to help. I never considered myself to have sensitive skin. As I have gotten older my beauty regimen has changed. I spent many years not washing my makeup off my face and I always seemed to have good skin, but as I get older I don't want to sleep in my makeup. I want to have great skin when I'm in my fifties.

So, I started washing my face twice a day. (as recommended by all) My skin would break out horribly for days. They would be the most painful and horrible embarrassing break outs. I've researched and experimented and have found out that over cleansing can in fact cause you to break out by irritating the skin. This product does dry out my skin. Not horribly, but enough that it's not great. I have found that if I use a great moisturizer it helps eliminate the dry skin. Also having a good exfoliating scrub helps with dry skin. I use Acnexus. This is not a cheap product, but I use it sparingly. It's made of all natural products and it doesn't dry out my skin. I've been using the Neutrogena for two weeks and my skin is almost completely clear and the dry skin is getting less and less.

Neutrogena original face wash is perfect for sensitive skin. It does not leave your face oily nor does it leave your face dry. Match it will the Neutrogena Rapid 2-in-1 Toner and together they work like a charm.

I have severe acne, and I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years trying every acne wash out there. None of them have worked well, until now. Using the "Neutrogena Acne Wash" has improved my acne tremendously, and boosted my self-confidence. I also use the "Neutrogena Toner," and then use the "Clean and Clear Persagel 10" (for the benzoyl peroxide). I have days where I have absolutely no zits on my face; a first in years.
And by the way, if anyone is trying Proactiv, don't. It's too expensive and not strong enough for most people with chronic acne. I used it and it didn't do a thing.
