Gave me a rash,

I'm not sure what Neutrogena added to this product but it heats my skin when I apply it and I started to get a rash. The old version of this product worked fine (and I wouldn't say I have particularly sensitive skin). It's a shame but I'm going to have to throw it away.

Good sun protection but stinks,

I bought this because I didn't want to spend a lot of $$ on a high-quality sunscreen. The SPF is great, but my biggest complaint of this product is that it smells like gasoline. I ended up throwing away the whole bottle.

I wanted to start wearing a higher spf on my face daily, so I tried the Neutrogena Age Shield. However, I break out easily and this made me break out. But it wasn't a total waste b/c I can use it on my toddler's face. I recommend Kate Sommerville's SPF 55 Serum. It's really pricey, but not greasy and the only face sunscreen that hasn't made me break out.

Incredibly irritating,
This review is from: Neutrogena Age Shield Face Lotion, SPF 70, 3 Ounces (Pack of 2) (Health and Beauty)
I've been a devoted Neutrogena sunscreen user for as long as I can remember. I've used the ultra sheer line primarily, though I've used others, including the sport line, as well - no skin reactions at all. I tried this product on my neck, chest, and arms for a few days. When a rash developed, I didn't even consider the sunscreen to be the culprit, but instead switched laundry detergent. After a few very uncomfortable days of trial and error, I realized it had to be the sunscreen. I stopped and it immediately began to subside. Read a review of it on CosmeticsCop.com and discovered that there are many irritating ingredients in this formula. It also contains oxybenzone, which I'm moving away from due to reports of increased cancer risk. I switched to an Alba formula and have had no issues, but it's too emollient for my face. So I was thrilled to see the new Neutrogena Pure & Free Liquid product, with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide only, and it works perfectly for my face. Crisis (and itching!) averted.

Irritates my skin!,

I do not think my skin is sensitive, but this sure has stinging sensation as I apply this sunscreen on my face. I think it does its job as sun protection - SPF55, but this is not for my face. I can apply this on my body but not my face! Not recommended if your skin is sensitive.

I have used this product every day for several years. I use it on my face under my make up and feel it does the job protecting my 90 yr. old face.

Leaves stains,

Be careful, this left orange stains on my clothing. I had applied it to my face and neck, there is no warning on the tube and it got on my shirt when I rubbed it against my face and neck.
