Important Information

Safety Information

Avoid contact with eyes.  This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn.  Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.

Ingredients
Water, Dihydroxyacetone, Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, Methyl Gluceth-20, Ppg-5 Ceteth-20, Erythrulose, Decyl Polyclugose, Methylpropanediol, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Betylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Citric Acid, Fragrance.

Directions

Pump foam into hand and blend in circular motion over freshly cleansed skin.  A little foam goes a long way - so you only need one pump for each arm and two pumps for each leg.  Apply sparingly around elbows, knees and ankles.  Wash hands with soap and water immediately after use.  Avoid contact with clothing until dry.  Sunless tan begins to develop in two to four hours and last for days.  Wait one hour before bathing or swimming.  Reapply as needed to maintain or deepen color.

The smell is gross.

It does dry quickly which is nice but didn't give me any color the first time I used it...so I applied another coat after my next shower.

The foam tanners always give me problems with drying too quickly to spread them evenly.

If you had spoken to me about a year ago about this product, I would have been bashing how horrible it was. I bought a bottle last summer and used it 3 times. It stained my clothes pretty well and left me with no tan whatsoever. After venting my frustrations to the air, I threw it in the back of my bathroom closet assuming I'd never use it again.

Then I talked to a friend of mine who had GREAT results, and she knocked some sense into me. First off you have to know how to use some of these sunless tanners and the directions are inadequate. Before using the product, go into the shower, shave and exfoliate. Get out of the shower and use a good moisturizer. Wait at least an hour before using the foam or it'll slide right off. You may have to put on a few applications before you get the color you want and wait about a day before you see it show up. DON'T PUT ON CLOTHES UNTIL IT DRIES or you will end up with a sticky mess.

It gives a nice bronze tan with a few applications. It also lasts a long time and relatively cheap in comparison. I've never gotten a really dark tan with it but then again it is only coming out of a bottle.

Definitely worth a try at least, and if you were like me before and threw it in the back of the closet try it again. What could it hurt?

Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Foam was a great way to get a nice, even tan. I've tried other, more expensive tanning lotions only to see streaks and orange spots. This was different. The foam went on smoothly and had no greasy feel that so many other products have. The only problem that I had with this product is that it says it gives you a deep tan, but I found I needed to apply it about three times to get any kind of significant color. Overall I think this is the best sunless tanning product I have used.

For the most part, I really liked this product. The foam made it easy to apply and get good coverage. The color was natural looking, but I had to be careful to not miss any spots or I'd end up with an unnatural tan. I wish the color was slightly darker though, since I tend to get a fairly dark natural tan. This was a good way to supplement my faded summer color.

I liked using the Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Foam because I didn't have to spend a lot of time rubbing the foam into my skin and it didn't turn my knees, ankles, or elbows a darker brown than the rest of the skin on my body. Within a couple of days I had a tan that my friends noticed. I will continue to use this product.

My experiences with this product have been mostly good--even color and easy to apply. I have had a few so-so experiences, but nothing awful. My last time I had a bit of uneven color, but that is likely because I didn't apply the product evenly. The color can also get a bit orange if applied too heavily, which I notice especially on my wrist area, but nothing too terrible. For the most part, it has worked OK.

This product is very easy to apply, dries fast, and--for the most part--gives good results. It also doesn't stink like my lotion did. But if you're up for it, I recommend the spray instead (Neutrogena MicroMist Sunless Tanning Spray) because it can get hard-to-reach-areas like the back (unless you have a friend to do it for you with other types of products) and the top of your hand--crucial if you don't want a noticeable, sudden change color between your arm and hand. But the foam is good, especially for the price and how long a container seems to last (I go through spray much faster).

I liked how the tanning lotion went on, but the color didn't really please me. It also rubbed off on my clothes.

The Neutrogena Sunless Tanning Foam worked okay. It looked somewhat fake because it was an orange-ish color, not what a tan is supposed to look like. If you are thinking about using this product, it applies easily but it only lasts for about four days. I wouldn't use this again. I'll stick with a normal suntan and not something from a bottle.
