5.0 out of 5 stars Great fast paced action novel, March 11, 2011

I admit I'm rather new to the series having only started reading them in sequence about a month ago. Having read Pilgrimage to Hell and Red Holocaust before I have to say this one is my favorite entry so far. I've already ordered the next three books in the series and I hope they're as good as this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great GraphicAudio presentation!, January 10, 2010

The third in the series that will keep you entertained for many trips. The Deathlands audiobooks are great. They are a full production and not just someone reading to you. There are sound effects, voice actors and music. These will ruin all the 'read to you' audiobooks for you.

The story in this one starts out like the last with the cast being teleported to a new location. There is plenty of action and a truly entertaining cast. I found myself driving a little slower as we got closer to home to make sure that there was time for this story to end. Solid entry in the series!

Highly recommended for anyone who has enjoyed the others. If you are looking at the Deathlands for the first time remember this is #3 and you should really start with Pilgrimage to Hell. However if you just want to dive right in you will be caught up on all the characters fast enough and should still enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, June 22, 2002
This review is from: Neutron Solstice (Deathlands) (Mass Market Paperback)
Here Ryan and his gang meet the albino Jak Laren for the first time. Jak wants their help in overthowing the local baron that is opessing the people(Aren't they always?) While this book is like any other deathlands book(highly addictive) it does introduce a new charecter that is with the dedicated Deathlands reader to the present day.

Ryan and his band find themselves in what used to be Southern Louisiana. This place is a little different than the rest in that there is more of the pre-apocalypse landscape left but while some of the buildings are still standing the civilization and humanity that created them are long gone. As it turns out the swamp is hiding not only hideously deformed mutants and enormous crocs but also a paranoid Baron by the name of Torment who is convinced that he must kill Ryan and his group before they kill him. Neutron Solstice provides all of the violence that one expects in one of these novels with the added bonus of adding a new character to the band and providing more information about Ryan Cawdor's mysterious past. This book is a good addition to the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Deathlands Book, March 26, 2000
By A Customer
This was my first and favorite Deathlands book. It takes away some unimportant main charecters and introduces important main charecters. It was the hardest to put down book I have ever read!

4.0 out of 5 stars BOOM. You are all dead, but everything else is the same., April 3, 1997
By A Customer
Using the gateways the adventuring protaganists once again landin the middle of the unknown. They have landed in the Bayou. Thisbook like many Deathlands novels includes an evil baron, a righteous few, and enough action to spin your head. Axler has done an incredible job explaining the story line even if you haven't read the previous books. Though after reading this one you might want to read them.
