A mystery woman (Brennamen) comes to the town and allows herself to find comfort and trust with the women of the town (Kirstie Alley, Kathy Najimy, etc). She is able to confront her past and find solice in herself as well as form a strong bond with the women of the town.

The movie is not a chick flick, it is hands down a feminist flick. Brennamen, Alley and Najimy and the rest of the cast give outstanding performances as strong, compassionate, understanding, loving women who contend with the hand that life delt them.

It is a movie which you'll want to keep in your collection and take out to renew your sense of self.

This movie is truly beautiful, but I think it will appeal to select tastes. If you don't enjoy movies with slow, deliberate pacing, you probably won't like this. If you don't enjoy movies that rely heavily on the setting, mood, and simplicity, then again, this probably isn't your movie.

I loved it, but then, I enjoy all of those things. The cast is excellent, the location is perfect in so many ways, and I think the movie that I would use to gauge whether or not you'll enjoy this is The Horse Whisperer. Both movies rely on the idea of places, space, environment, and open air as a healing agent and tool of self-discovery.

The music soundtrack is excellent. The director does an excellent job of playing out a depressed and down trodden housewife's escape from her boring life. I really loved all the different characters in the movie. The location was an excellent choice. The movie protrays the sometimes realities of life. I watched it many times.
