Excellent book for every African particularly those interested in knowing about the Nigerian Civil war,

This review is from: Never Again (Africa Women Writers Series) (Paperback)
Flora Nwapa, an educator, novelist, business woman and Ogbuefi of Oguta (Anambra State, Nigeria) is one of the most respected female authors in Africa particularly West Africa. She is in the same category as Chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka. The intensity of the characters in most of her novels keeps the reader concentrated on the 'reading'. This novel makes an excellent read for those that want to get an 'idea' of the Nigerian civil war and somewhat tells how important it is that there be no more war in Africa or any continent for that matter. One war is indeed enough no matter how you look at it. The ordinary man loses, propagators of the war leave behind the damaged country and move on to a supposedly better life 'abroad'
