Mel C has done us proud with her new hit single "never be the same again". This is a great single from mel and with lisa left eye (Tlc) doing a rap it blends in well. It should have stayed longer at No.1

I love this song, and I think that it is highly underrated. With the combination of Melanie's soft vocals and Lisa's rap you just can't go wrong. The version of the song that I prefer is the single edit. This cd also includes the Lisa Lopes remix and the video which is amazing.

This is Sporty Spice Melanie C's First Number one solo hit in the UK. Is it because of her Talent? Is it because of the media push? is it because the song Features TLC member "Left eye" Lisa Lopez in it? Actually its all of these! Mel has had some problems with her other solo songs becuase critics havent really been on her side and Spice Fans have found it a bit too rockish to swallow. But for once she got what she deserved, which was a little Positve endorsement. Mel who prefers rock and pop similar to Madonna, has outdone herself by this hip-hop/pop duet. Mel has grown in this track, it doesn't feature that whinny sound she usually has (e.g Stop & Who do you think you are) For Spice Fans, don't be afraid, it may be a new direction but its a good direction. For TLC fans, its different but its good (the single features a Lisa lopez mix which sounds typical of the TLC style). For people who haven't heard any of Mel's solo material, this is the song for you. END

When I first heard the album I thought this should have been the first song released and I'm happy to see that it is finally seeing the light of day. One word "excellent" combination here Mel is such a great vocalist and lisa just flows. This song really grooves and the Lisa Lopez mix really makes the track even funkier. I highly recommend it.

Melanie C is my favorite spice girl and I just love her voice. I rate her Northern Star CD 5 stars. It is just worth its weight in Gold. I bought this single as a way of getting some of her B-sides.
1. Never be the same again(single edit)....Not quite the same as the album version. Still good and somewhat mysterious...Just like the album version.
2. I WONDER WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE...forgive me for not being able to classify it as techno or disco or both, but if you bought Geri Halliwells b-sides for 'calling' you could compare it to 'destiny'. Its about wanting someone as a lover. If you really, really like 'Never be the same again' you will like this song.
3. Never be the same again(lisa lopes remix)...a very interesting beat and remix.
4. The video is cool...It is as mysterious as the song itself. Not quite futuristic but very intelligent.

I would just like to add that the first remix is one of the extra tracks on the northern star reissue so unless you were really interested in the b-side or the video I suggest the album

I've only seen the video to this song a few times on "The Box" and I have to say this song is great! Too bad, it didn't do that well in the US but the song is great and I recommend it to everyone!

Melanie C is the business in this gem of a song that shows the world that she just isn't a "Spice Girl." She is an artist in her own right with this song as proof of the pudding. "Never Be the Same Again" has charming lyrics, a slow steady beat and a haunting refrain that you find yourself humming long after you have played the CD. Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez gives it an added boost with her stylish rapping, combining both British and American music together to create one great song. The video is brilliant too and worth seeing if you get the chance.

The sucess of this Uk number one song means that Melanie C is the most sucessfull Spice girl so far and she deserves it. She has one of the most amazing voices which goes well with Lisa Lopez. Thsis is the first number 1 on Melanie C's album but it wont be the last her album is chocablock with hits a plenty. If you dont own Melanie C's album Northern Star look it up now.

"Never be the same again" it's the best Melanie C's track. A fabulous R&B song, with a good rap (performed by Lisa Lopes). When I bought the album, and I heard this song..., well, I was really shocked. The others are good, but, NBSA it's just perfect. It has a fantastic Single Version, a truly good new song called "I wonder what it would be like" (rock style...) and the best remix I've heard. It also includes the video. Well done Melanie!.

This track is going to bit Geri's Bag It Up!Duet with Liza Lopes from TLC NBTSA is an awesome track to listen and buy for all music pop fans.Includes great Lopes' rap part and other great elements-NBTSA will be the bomb!Worth buying even if you don't know who Mel C is!
