Book Description

April 7, 1999

Not that kind of kiss. The bell-ringing kind. Where the world stands still, if only for a moment. And you never want to quit...

Josie had missed it in high school, where she was considered a loser. But when her job as a newspaper reporter gives her the chance to relive her senior year, as Prom Queen this time, Josie jumps at the chance. Wouldn't you?

High school is as stupid as everand twice as much fun. Best of all, the boy of Josie's dreams is a man. And she's ready to show him she's a woman. Even if it means showing hundreds of others at the same time!

The romantic story of the year now a hit movie starring Drew Barrymore, Michael Vartan, and David Arquette.

I bought this book because I absolutely loved the movie and wanted to re-live it before it was out on video. Well, I still think it's the best story ever--very uplifting and optimistic--but this book is poorly written. I suppose I didn't expect it to be particularly good writing, but it really did take away from the wonderful message of the book. I would not recommend buying this book unless you see the movie first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comic..., July 19, 2000

Anyone who wants a good laugh can pick up this book. I have never watched the movie but I find that this book is just as great! A heartwarming story about a girl (Josie) seeking for the true love of her life. She was sent back to high school on an assignment for the newspapers. Back in school, she tried very hard to be cool and also joined the cool crowd. But the result was that she simply did not fit in the 'in' crowd. She was too much of a natural geek. So she befriended a girl in her class who was also sort of a geek. Soon, she was hanging out with a bunch of geeks.

This is a very funny book, gotta try... =)
