I'm the CEO of a successful training program. We went online in 1999, so I'm not a newbie to online marketing. I am aware of most and use some of the methods Frank explains so simply and clearly in this book. Like the author I have a strong background in sales, and I bought this book only because I wanted to see what he had to say before buying his much more expensive...

I purchased one of Mr. Rumbauskas' books about a year ago. I thought it was pretty standard stuff, but not too bad. When I got the email announcing "Online Playbook" I was curious. I thought I would give Mr. R another shot to impress me. There are several free bonuses that come with the purchase, so I thought $14 would be worth the spend. As it turns out, this book does nothing more than scratch the surface and is mostly full of information anyone who has advertised on the net once or twice would know. To get the actual "power secrets" Mr. Rumbauskas entices you with, you will have to shell out $500.00 for Rumbauskas' Marketing Opus program, which the author will happliy tell you all about when you register for the free bonuses. A real bait and switch tactic that left me cold. I would also recommend stearing clear of some of Mr. Rumbauskas' team mates - Joe Vitale, Matt Morris - who use some of the same infuriating tactics. If you don't mind fluff, get this book and your free bounuses. Otherwise don't waste your time or money on this one.

Like the author I have a strong background in sales, and I bought this book only because I wanted to see what he had to say before buying his much more expensive book. I got waaay more benefit from this book than I expected to.

We have spent $$$Thousands of dollars on Adwords, SEO, yada yada and just as many hours of online research to improve our company's bottomline. As I said, we currently employ many of Frank's methods and have wanted to use others but had no idea how to proceed with a few of them, even after all those hours of research.

This book super-simplifies the things that you too know you should be doing and makes it possible to begin doing these things TODAY. This book is intelligently written, easy to understand and doesn't try to over-complicate anything. As for reviewer complaints that readers are constantly being directed to his website, do the math. At $[...] bucks and change, there is no profit margin left on this book which now serves as part of his marketing plan. And by the way, I didn't find this book at all "bait and switch"-y which is what some reviewers suggest. This book is jam-packed full of usable information about how to sell more online products or services and I believe it is the best book I've read on the subject. I have already implemented some of his suggestions on our primary site and will over the next few months implement the rest, as well as investigate JV opportunities with a book that I am finishing right now.

If you have $[...] bucks left on your credit card after Christmas and want to either improve what you're currently doing online or get started marketing a product online, buy this book!!! You will save yourself tons of frustration, time and money. I believe it's worth at least a hundred times its cost and that it will be the best money you've ever spent on internet marketing.

By the way, I am not a current customer of the author's. In fact, I'd never heard of him until I found this gem on Amazon, so be assured that I'm not his sister, wife or best friend trying to promote his book. It is simply the best internet marketing book I've read to date and I wanted to share that with prospective readers.

This book is has a few good things but its merely a promotion to purchase other things from the author. My further purchases from Frank Rumbauskas have been extremely disappointing. We paid $500 to gain access to his website (a follow-up from this book) and were promised all kinds additional information. We waited 6 months and never saw the website change. We wrote several times to ask for our $500 back. No response - ever. We have found much more helpful (and ethical) people in Perry Marshall, Ken McCarthy, Glenn Livingstone, and Jon Rognerud.

I skim read it through once quickly and gleaned several helpful tips. Now I'm in the middle of reading it thoroughly and taking notes. Anyone complaining about this book is simply not looking for the Golden Nuggets of info in it. Instead of complaining of bait and switch try implementing some of the strategies and seeing what happens? I found chapter 6 on creating instant (and verifiable) expert status very helpful with specific instructions as to how to follow the process he used. Just my 2 cents.

The Never Cold Call Again Online Playbook is the first book in years that I've read in one sitting. I think there was some great information in the same league as Dan Kennedy, Yanik Silver and Mitch Meyerson, among others. It's similar to information that is promoted by many "so-called" gurus and I'm not surprised that Mr. Rumbauskas offers upsells and cross sells. He's a MARKETER for crying out loud! And he has great insights and ideas.

I agree with the reviewer who said the website recommendations alone are worth the price of the book. But for me, I learned some great ideas on podcasting and videocasting that I'm excited to implement. He has ton of great ideas on building website traffic and conversion. The recommendations on achieving Expert Status are wonderful.

Yes, the book itself is a bargain, but the ability to go online for more information and links is a great resource too. I'm going to order a few more of these books to give to friends.

It would be a pretty good book for someone just getting into the sales field.
The book did not have anything in it that I had not heard or did is sales.
It would be pretty good for a good sales manager to get to use as a guide from time to time.
The book was pretty much worth the money.

Frank started out with "Cold Calling is a Waste of Time", a spiral bound book he probably printed in his office and peddled to the public several years ago. Part of it made sense, because there is truth to the title, but once Frank has your confidence, he does his "bait and switch". Not only that, but he loves to make recommendations to buy products from his friends, from which Frank probably gets a cut.

I have purchased nothing else from Frank. Frank: Either you have your head screwed on backwards, or you are a liar of the first magnitude. Neither is something to be proud of.

I'm an offline marketer.. learning to live in an online world. The Never Cold Call Again Online Playbook: The Definitive Guide to Internet Marketing Success provides critical play by play action for creating, building and maintaining your online empire. What was most helpful to me is that the book is not full of technical jargon. Instead, it is written in a familiar and conversational style that made new concepts and terms accessible and understandable.

From Goal Setting to Positioning, Vodcasting to Joint Ventures, Upsells, Cross Sells and Down Sells, this book hit all the notes. While it is not possible to shine a light into every nook and cranny of the internet in a single publication, I found the book to be intelligently written and a powerful starting point for further study... and action.

I purchased Frank's Cold Calling Is A Waste of Time and found it to be excellent. I have stayed on his mailing list for over four years, so when I received his email to launch this book, I immediately purchased.

Frank has very successfully used online marketing to brand himself. This book will tell you how he did it. If you are looking to brand yourself online (as opposed to sell a product or a company), then this book is for you. Frank has been there and done it, unlike a lot of the other pretenders selling ebooks and such.

The only criticism I have is that he is saving his best stuff for his $500 course, where he presumably gives you all of the details. For $11 though, this book has a lot of very useful information. You can't lose.
