1.0 out of 5 stars Did not understand May 31, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When I read the book description it looked like a really good book, but when I read it,the book was so different. The whole story was confuseing.Especially towards the end.Did Ian even love Anna and the baby or was it just a joke to him? Over all I hated it and the author should rewrite the story to make since and have a happier ending.

1.0 out of 5 stars Needs more than an editor! May 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Oh...My...Gosh! This story was simply horrible! I agree with reviewer Suzie--the editing is atrocious, & yes, EVERY page is filled with errors. Did this book even make it to an editor? If so, the editor should be fired. If not, the company who published it should be canned.
If you try to overlook the editing errors & just try to consider the value of the story, well, sad to say, but it was still a horrible story. It's too choppy. There is no smooth transition from one sentence or thought into the next, from one paragraph to the next, or even from one chapter to the next. Half of the time, I didn't know whose thoughts & comments I was reading until I got to the end of the sentence, or sometimes, not until I got to the end of the next sentence. There were even a few times that I never did figure out who was talking. The author never made it clear. She just moved on to the next part.
Some of the scenes don't even tie in together very well. It's like the author couldn't make up her mind about how she wanted certain things to turn out.

As for the characters, well, I don't know which one was the worst---
As was mentioned in the book description, Anna O'Fallon was tired of always getting the shaft and decides it is time to do something about it. Her mom used to be a flight attendant & she went to Japan alot. So, Anna promises her mom, before her mom dies, that she will go to Japan one day. Anna, having a lousy job & a lousy boyfriend, & tired of always "getting the shaft", decides now is the time to go to Japan...to take charge of her life and...to watch Sumo wrestlers?? While boarding the plane she meets Janice & her husband Harold. She encounters them at scattered points throughout the story. When she gets to the hotel in Japan this is where she first sees Ian Lexington.

1.0 out of 5 stars Desperately needs an editor May 23, 2012

I'm only about 30% into this story and am not sure I can force myself to continue. First and foremost is the editing, or lack of it. Missing words, extra words, transposed words, etc...every page is plagued with errors. It takes a lot out of the enjoyment of reading if I have to decipher what the author is trying to convey.

Secondly, the product description does not match the details of the actual story. The description says that Anna is going to Japan to claim her inheritance from her father. In the story, she goes to Japan to get away from work and her jerk ex-boyfriend and to watch a Sumo wrestling tournament. Yes, her mother had spent a considerable amount of time in Japan through her job, but nothing has been said to this point about a father.

I've not yet decided if I want to finish reading this. It's becoming more work than it is worth. At least it was free.
