I agree with the other reviewers that the pictures are fantastic of all of the children, but wanted to point out the box mine came in (maybe all the boxes?) shows each child's picture with the name of their home country. My 3 and [....] play the game and shout out the names of the countries the children are from as they play. It's so great to hear my kids yelling "Tanzania!" and "Norway!" and "Puerto Rico!" while they flip the cards. I highly recommend this game for your own kids, kids you know, birthday presents for ages 3 and up. Our whole family plays together and the kids sometimes beat the adults : ) We also love eeBoo's "Life On Earth" matching game with amazing illustrations of various flora and fauna on our planet.

This classic game has been issued hundreds of times and by so many toy manufacturers before. But this company has been making them with exceptional quality. Each square is made of brick thick sturdy board. No sharp edges and cut very uniform. Using faces is also a great idea, I myself am pretty bad remembering faces and names, hopefully my kids will pick up more than just simply pairing them. Discerning subtle differences on faces like hair, face shapes, eyes, noses, may help them to be more focused on details (and hopefully help them to remember real people faces).I usually don't care much about this kind of toys - I mean, if they lose pieces or damage, like a throw away or garage sale item for next year. But the way it was made, it makes me want to take care of it more or pass it on to someone else.

I am a Pre-K teacher and this is a wonderful, multicultural matching game that my kids love to play again and again. A wonderful diversity resource.

Interesting twist on an old game,

This game is a fun alternative to the boring shapes & basic concepts memory games, or the often-confusing character memory games. The pictures in those character memory games (Disney, etc.) can be hard for younger kids (the intended audience) to distinguish. Not so here, and the faces/costumes are interesting to look at.

Our other memory games look like a regular deck of standard playing cards printed on exceptionally thin paper. My 3 and 5 year old kids have a hard time grabbing the cards off of a tabletop to flip them, so after a dozen or so games, the cards are creased and frayed at the edges. Not a major concern, but an annoyance that slows down game play. The eeBoo game solves this problem using tiles of a completely different design: the faces are printed on pressed cardboard squares roughly 2 inches wide and an eighth of an inch thick. The difference is striking: by shrinking the size and increasing the depth, the tiles are easily gripped by small hands. Games moves faster and the tiles hold their shape over time. And I can confirm what most of the other reviews have made clear: the faces are cute and encourage curious minds to expand their geographic horizons. Guaranteed smiles the first time a new face is flipped over. Great family fun for all.

What's great about this game is that it raises the awareness of other cultures for chidren at a very young age! I wish I would have had this when I was a lil girl!

This game is fun for my granddaughter, age 5, who loves to play Old Maid, Go Fish, etc. This is another matching game that also teaches adversity and how other races look. She LOVES playing it. Fun and educational - fantastic combination!

I bought two. One for my son (2 1/2) and one for his friend's 3rd birthday party. So much better than the original memory game. Children naturally notice the similarities that people have regardless of skin pigment, eye color, hair and dress. The pictures definetly lead to higher thinking level quetsions.I could see this used in a pre-school to 1st grade classroom by partnering with a geography lesson. We need more 'toys' like this.

There are many variations of this game, but this one seems to be a good one. The faces are close enough to confuse you, but not too close to be annoying. I like that my daughter has to use her power of memory to play this. It also has just enough pieces to it, and they're very durable.

We played this at a friend's house and have been hooked ever since! My 4 year old son and his friends love it because it is fun. I love it because the quality of the game is great (nice sturdy cards on board not flimsy paper but small enough for little hands) and it offers up a multicultural experience for my son, teaching him that there are lots of different looks of kids around the world. I buy this as a gift for every 4 & 5 yr old birthday party we go to, especially for the girls. It makes a great, unique gift. Wish I could find it at stores around our city, but so far can only find it online.
