Book Description

**Now includes HOLDING ON, a Memories series novella**

New Adult Contemporary Romance - Only intended for readers age 17+ due to sexual situations and strong language.

A city girl.
A small town boy.
A summer they'll never forget.

Spending the summer at her Grammy's in Lilac Bay, Devon, is city girl Alexis 'Lexy' Edwards' idea of hell. That is, until she reconnects with her childhood friend, Jen, and meets Alec Johnson.
Alec is the kind of guy Lexy knows she needs to stay away from. He's the village flirt, ridiculously hot and very dangerous to her self control. But there's a problem – she can't seem to keep him out, even though she knows he'll break her heart.
As Alec slowly strips away Lexy's defences and the two embark on a summer romance she never wanted, their feelings grow to more than either expected. But nothing lasts forever, and reality intrudes.
As her world is shaken to it's core, Lexy's self made prediction comes true when she discovers she's spent six weeks surrounded by secrets. Kept out by her family and the only guy she's ever trusted, she falls apart.
And when Grammy tells her that 'you might not end up where you wanted to be, but you'll always end up where you're meant to be,' she has to figure out if her meant to be is back home in London, or if it's been in Devon the whole time.

Living in London after spending almost twenty years in a town with a population of three hundred would be hard on anyone – and Alec Johnson is no exception to the rule.
When Alec followed Lexy to London, he knew his life would change drastically. He just didn’t know how much. With Lexy’s friends and admirer to contend with, he has to show there’s more to the country surfer boy than his ability to ride the waves. With his own shameless admirers, he has to keep Lexy’s trust – and despite her love for him, that’s no easy task.

Beneath her tough girl exterior, all Jennifer Mason has ever wanted to do is paint. London’s School of Art can give her that, and she couldn’t be happier she’s finally breaking free from Lilac Bay. What she’s not happy about is having to leave Carl behind – or his reluctance to visit her while she’s studying.
Their relationship is put to the test as living on her own for the first time and university take their toll on Jen. After all, three hundred miles is a long way to be away from your boyfriend when you’re eighteen years old.
And it’s even harder when you can’t keep your eyes off your best friend’s older brother.

5.0 out of 5 stars Touching New Adult Contemp/Romance February 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I had the pleasure of reading Never Forget for the author as an ARC (advanced review copy).

The story is fun, sassy, and down right sweet as can be. Filled with promises of a long lasting love, former love 'em and leave 'em boy Alec becomes smitten with smart city girl Lexy.

Lexy has no use for another playboy in her life. Her brother Bing, great secondary character!, is a major playboy and she is determined that she won't ever fall for that. Lexy wasn't expecting Alec though! The moment she lays her eyes on him she is swooning. However, when she finds out about his bad boy past she makes it clear she is not up for a summer romance.

Soon Lexy realizes the heart wants what it wants. Will she be able to trust Alec with her heart and let herself fall? Will Alec be able to prove himself to Lexy and get her to give in?

A fun story about love and family. This story includes a whole cast of well written characters who will enchant you with their personality.

Emma Hart is an author whom, I believe, you will be getting to know much better in the future. I predict great things ahead for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars AHMAZING March 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm always too lazy to review books, it's like it doesn't matter to me, but I had to this time. I don't care what the other reviews say, this book is amazing. As cliche as it sounds, this book is not your typical bad boy gets feisty, clever girl to fall in love with him, then he goes back to his old ways and breaks her heart. This book is heartfelt and you find yourself relating to the characters immediately. It's a great story about a city girl spending time with her family and her Gram in the country and finding unexpected love. I laughed, I cried and I swooned. Seriously, read this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is horrible March 22, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I am glad this book was free or I would be trying to find someway to my money back.
I had a really hard time getting into this book the writing was choppy. I am not British so I was not familiar with some of the terms and phrases used but that has no affect on my rating.I do however disagree with the review that said the dialog mirrored the southern USA because as a person from that area I thought the dialog was horrible and not something from this area.
Potential spoilers
1. There is nothing likable about lexy. She came across whiney, indecisive, immature..list can go on.
2. Alex was ok..It is strange to me he has this horrible reputation and everyone even the old people n the town know he is a man white and sorta laugh about it.
3. Why write a book with dual perspectives when 99% of the POV is Lexy. Should have just kept it that way considering Alecs did not add any value to the story.
4. The use of the word ain't is annoying. Enough said on that.
5. Educated girl wants sex for the first time with the known town man whore without a condom? Yeah right.
6. How dramatic can one be over health problems that were kept from them. Immaturity shining through.
I could keep going but my point has been made. I am not sure how this book has 5 star rating. I won't be reading anymore from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Omg best book I've read all year May 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Ok so love, tears, laughter, heartache...this book has it all. I have never laughed so hard and cried so hard in a book before. That one of the funniest little old ladies... this is truly an amazing story and the characters are all amazing. I fell in love with each one...from Alexis and Alex, to her family and their friends...every character was beautifully designed to capture a piece of your heart. I love the style of writing. I love that you get both points of view in short amount of time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable April 12, 2013
By creed
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The author has potential but missed the mark on this one. First of all who keeps pushing a friend or family member toward a relationship with the town womanizer every time they see them? That went on every day for half the book. Unbelievable! Second who screams at everyone and feels betrayed because they weren't told about a family member's health situation? Health matters are no one elses business. If someone chooses to tell you fine but you have no right to the information. Talk about an over reaction. Lexy's reaction was so over the top for the situation it was unbelievable!
Over all the story could have been great. The characters were interesting especially Gram.
For me a story needs to be believable to earn 4 or 5 stars so I'm at a loss to explain the other reviews.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously..... April 4, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm desperately trying to figure out how this book got any 5star ratings at all?? It was awful...Lexy spent more than half of the book in limbo over Alec. "should I , shouldn't I "? "Prove yourself to me Alec..." it was pathetic to say the least. Grammy and Bing were the saving graces in this book. Bing should get his own story...he was cool. There was nothing sassy or strong about Lexy at all. Alec was sweet but really? Nope did not enjoy this at all. Glad it was just 0.99c , else I would I would have been REALLY pissed off to have spent any more on this.

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I avoided reading this book for a long time because I figured it would be the same old same old with bad boy and good girl.....and it was. But it was so very good. I loved loved LOVED Alec but I was really mad at Lexy when she got so mad at him. Unnecessary drama. Can't wait to read the next two!
