I am not in any way a bible-oriented Christian, although I do embrace many aspects of Christianty. I bought this book at Target. It called to me and I took the challenge. I am dealing with my share of wanting to either give up or push through on my goals and have been in a lot of distress. Well, this book, with its inspirational stories and its message that we all experience roadblocks on the way to pursue our dreams (not just me!) is just what I needed. I immediately recognized in a positive way that I definitely have some attitudes in need of adjustment and I feel so inspired by just reading this book and putting some of the ideas into action, that I just know a power greater than myself is always with me and trying to guide me on to my dreams and I am going to reach my goals now. I just have to learn to get out of my own way, do the work, and let things happen. Does not matter how big or small your goal is, whether or not you totally, partly, or minimally embrace Joyce's brand of Christianity, this book is total nourishment for the mind and soul. Even the inspirational stories alone will amaze you. Others have already been inspired by some of the stories from the book I have share with them.

I have not read anything of Joyce's before, but I have seen her on TV, and I have many friends who have done her Bible Studies. I bought this book for a week long trip to the Dominican Republic, (I love to read at the beach or by the pool). I finished it before the trip was over! It was very easy reading and very inspiring! I encourage anyone who has a hard time letting go of their "failures" in the past to get a hold of this book!

I have been reading Joyce Meyer's books since 1994 and her most recent book, "Never Give Up" is, in my opinion, her best. In the book are examples of many people who have overcome seemingly impossible circumstances.

I believe this book is God-inspired and should be read by everyone.

Joyce Meyers provides an outstanding insight to living your life with a purpose. There is not much God can do if we give up. You will never experience what God's plan is for our lives if we give up. We must have hope and be willing to surrender our will on a daily basis. Joyce provides us with inspiration to change our lives and her advice is biblically based.

I am a huge Joyce Meyer fan; between watching her television program, getting her monthly magazine (which is free, by the way-go to [...]), and purchasing her teaching cd's, I think she is one of the most simplistic teachers there is where preaching God's word is concerned. This book is very motivational and encouraging and it's even helped me while I have had problems of my own because there have been specific passages in that book that have spoken to me. (It was probably God speaking to me through the book :-)) I would highly recommend this book to anyone, whether you need a shot of hope and confidence or not. Stay encouraged.

I was about to give up on everthing but when i started to read this book I just could'nt put it down, if you think you're going througth think again Joyce is seasoned for the season

I've read a few of Joyce's books before (and loved them) but this is my favorite (so far). Practical, powerful and straight to the point, Joyce delivers a message of hope, and inspiration. Filled with true accounts of how others made it happen despite insurmountable odds, each chapter is filled with encouragement, practical tips and wisdom and of course the occassional laugh. We are all humans striving to be the best that we can be and we all stumble and have those days or weeks of doubt, problems, setbacks, yet through it all Joyce reminds us about the ever loving power and grace that God has available to each of us to "power through" and attain the prize on the other side. HE WANTS US TO SUCCEED! What joy to be reminded of this. This book deeply moved me and helped to "set me back on track". This is one I'm not putting away too far, I will be refering to it every time I hit a roadblock - whether mental or physical. Thank you Joyce for another classic. Thank you God for using your servant Joyce to remind us of your plan for us - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11.

This is my first book I have read written by Joyce Meyer and I purchased it because I enjoy listening to her inspirational messages on the cable TV station. I also wanted to read this particular book because I am still dealing with grief after my husband died in April, 2009, from Multiple Sclerosis complications.

This book is a fast-paced, jam-packed, absolutely great read and filled to the brim with fascinatating personal stories about people, including Joyce, who never gave up despite being knocked down many times.

Definitely have your Bible handy as Joyce frequently refers to specific scripture passages for reference, in addition to the verses she does weave through each chapter.

"Never Give Up" is a book I just couldn't put down! It's full of energy and real Biblical truths. It made me laugh and cry. It's a book filled with hope and encouragement. In a word, OUTSTANDING!

The CD set is good and some great info. the drawback is that it is not the voice of Joyce Meyer... It is the voice of her daughter. The book for me would have been a better choice. Just one of those voices...To God be the Glory, I recognize that He is teaching me tolerance and patience.

I enjoyed this book - even more than other JM books. As if she made har mind up and told something of profound importance; Every one has a choice - the choice to not give up. Even until death there are choices - not to give up - without performing in our own strength - giving up our selves to Him and then NOT giving up any more, but letting Him lead us in faith and giving us perserverance - step by step. A significant book!
