4.0 out of 5 stars Implausible, But Entertaining, April 21, 2008

This review is from: Never Give Up (DVD)
There is so much that is implausible in this movie I don't know where to start. Let's just leave it at that. The movie hero is a disgraced Special Forces soldier who was involved in the mistaken killing of a college age girl in an attempt to kill her journalist sister. Since it occurred in a remote mountain village, the soldiers kill everyone in the settlement of thirteen souls. All, that is, except a 12-year-old girl. She was hurried to hiding by one of the soldiers, the hero of the movie, and then her parents were killed. The movie is about the hero, and this girl he took in to care for her. The police are after the killer who massacred the village. The man is kicked out of the Special forces because he wasn't ruthless enough! But, because he knows too much about their operations, he is marked for death as well. So, the rest of the movie is the cat and mouse game as the hero tries to protect the young girl, and avoid the police and the Special Forces who are hot on their tail.

There is quite a bit of very graphic violence. For example, in one scene the hero chops an axe into the head of one of his enemies and you can see the blood squirting from the brain. The Special Forces are so determined to get him they bring out a squadron of tanks! It is truly an action movie.
