Book Description

December 1, 2008 Zebra Contemporary Romance
A confirmed bachelor, Ben Badwin has had his share of women, and he likes them as sexy, wild, and uninhibited as his desires. Nothing at all like the brash, dirt-covered, wholesomely cute woman who just strutted into his diner. But something about Sierra Murphy's independent attitude makes Ben fantasies run wild. He'd love to dazzle her with his prized sensual skills...to make her want him as badly as he suddenly wants her...Sierra doesn't need a man in her life, not even one as sinfully tempting as Ben. But the more she keeps her distance, the more Ben wants her. And the more Ben wants her, the harder it is for Sierra to steer clear of his teasing touches and enticing eyes. To get him into her bed - and out of her system - Sierra makes him a proposition: she'll sleep with him, but for one night only. Now, it's up to Ben to turn one night of pure ecstasy into a lifetime of passion...

3.0 out of 5 stars ..., October 18, 2011
This review is from: Never Too Much (Zebra Contemporary Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I'll be honest. I love Lori Foster, but I really couldn't love Sierra. She was very determined and strong, but sometimes I didn't agree with the way she treated Ben, who was a so great and ever so sweet. I know she was abused and distrustful, but it just went on too long. She shoved Ben away constantly when it was blatantly obvious he didn't want her just for sex. But we don't find out about her past until near the end. I HATE when authors do that, because by then you've already formed an opinion about a character, and if you don't like them, possibly already gave up on the book, before finishing and finding out their whole story.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK Read, December 7, 2011

Where I adored the first book in Foster's Temptation series, Too Much Temptation, this one was just OK.

The hero Ben was a likeable secondary character in the first story, but I found parts of his behaviour objectionable in this one. I thought he came across as predatory in certain scenes with the heroine. Nothing extreme, but since she had an abusive ex, it made me wince occasionally. Speaking of which, the villain's actions and motivations for same really didn't play at all.

I also thought TMT was very funny, but that the humor here was a trifle forced. I did appreciate the family warmth and found it the strongest part of the book. The sex scenes were fun and frank - and plentiful.

It's priced right to take the best and leave the rest. But if you haven't already had the pleasure, I suggest you start with Too Much Temptation instead.
