5.0 out of 5 stars Not a kid don't have an account
After seeing swamp live I decided to check him out. Swamp is simply one of the most talented people in all of the music industry. He not only knows how to make a good beat but knows why to use what sounds and notes and when. This is what takes someone from being a typical commercial musician and a true artist. Everyone should definitely check out some of his live...

3.0 out of 5 stars Strong, but not great
Being a fan of turntableism, I love the instrumental portions of this album. Swamp's rapping could use a little work, though. It's interesting and different, especially "worship the robots," but they aren't going to be the next club hits. "Worship the Robots" is interesting and fun because the lyrics were written into Simple Text, a program on a Mac, and it is Simple Text...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD. It's cheap, just buy it., October 17, 2005
This review is from: Never Is Now (Audio CD)
This is one of the best CDs I own. If you found your way to this page just buy it. It's like 2 dollars used. I've had it for a few years and still listen to it pretty regularly. The songs are all hip hop with a sinister/tongue in cheek vibe. There is alot of variety. The CD doesn't get boring because it takes so many different styles and jams them all into one album that's just sick. If you're into good hip hop instrumentation, this one shouldn't dissapoint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album, March 18, 2002

This is a really amazing album. I'm surprised I'm only the second reviewer. It is mostly instrumental but the handful of vocal tracks are good as well. One of the best albums of 2001.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get it, September 24, 2001
This review is from: Never Is Now (Audio CD)
If you've been following the career of DJ Swamp like me, you'll LOVE this. Every track (except Malakai, which I didn't like at all) is awesome, and really shows his skills on the turntables, and wow, he's a pretty good rapper too (for a white guy). It's a pretty long CD too, which is another perk. Even the song Disintergrator, which I never really cared for, seems better on this CD, I guess because it's amoungst other songs within a similar vein. If you like Swamp, GET THIS.

"Worship the Robots" is interesting and fun because the lyrics were written into Simple Text, a program on a Mac, and it is Simple Text that does all of the rapping. Interesting and something completely different. Overall there are some tracks that are catchy and fun, but others just don't hit the mark.
