Get Ready To Lift Up The Name Of Jesus!, April 20, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: I Never Shall Forget (Audio CD)
So who or what is G.M.W.A. Youth Choir? Well...G.M.W.A. stands for the Gospel Music Workshop of America. It's a convention that was started by the late gospel singer, Rev. James Cleveland, to promote the sharing of gospel music; a convention that brings together people of all Christian beliefs to learn new songs to lift up the name of Jesus. There are 4 national G.M.W.A. choirs: GMWA Mass Choir, GMWA Women, GMWA Men of Promise, and GMWA Youth Mass Choir.
The GMWA Youth Mass Choir's third album, "I Never Shall Forget", is anointing to the spirit. My favorite is the upbeat, "Praise The Lord"; after hearing this song, that's what you'll want to do until the sun goes down and comes back up again. The songs tells people to get up and praise God because He's done so much for you, so you have no choice but to be thankful and give Him all praise. Another favorite is the late gospel singer, Rev. James Moore's rendition of "Oh How I Love Jesus". The words are so simple, yet, the message is powerful. Based off of John 3:16, "Because God so loved the world, He sent His only son to die for our sins, so that we shall live eternally with God," knowing that, is always a reason to say that we love the Lord. Buy the album, you won't be disappointed, but annointed.
If you like this album, check out TM Mass Youth, Walt Whitman & The Soul Children of Chicago, Mississippi Children's Choir, Jesus Gang, Youth For Christ, Canton Gospel Soul Children, Gospel Kids, and the album, "Shout Praises! Kids Gospel" as well.

Praise Him With GMWA!!!, June 4, 2011
This review is from: I Never Shall Forget (Audio CD)
On this album, the Youth Mass Choir has shown that they are showing the world how good God truly is. Not just because I sang on this album; but because it is truly spirit-filled.
The first song, "He Has Done So Much For Me" led by Rev. Bruce Parham, is one of my favorites from the album. The choir is really telling you that the lord has done something for them. The second song, "Jesus Is Coming Soon" led by Christopher Simpson, is also one of my favorites from the album. The song is asking you, Will you be ready? The third song, "Praise The Lord" led by LaDonna Hollins, is my all-time favorite from the album. That song will have you clapping, stomping, and maybe even shouting. The rest of the album is great as well.
This album wasn't as "polished" as the Youth Mass Choir's first album, "Win The World For Christ, but it is well worth buying.
