What can i say?...This Amazing Lady can do no wrong!
First of let me correct a title mistake made by Amazon...
The title of this single is 'Never Too Far/ Hero Medley' !
So now lets get back to Mariah...
In this single Mariah takes her classic song 'Hero' and combines it with a song from her latest Album 'Glitter' called 'Never Too Far' and the result is...PURE MAGIC !!!
On top of that wonderful medley this cd has another previously un-released Mariah song called 'There For Me' that isn't on Mariah's latest Album 'Glitter' or in her new 'Greatest Hits' Double-CD.
This song is such and Amazing song that for the life of me i can't understand why Mariah Didn't include it 'Glitter' or in her new 'Greatest Hits' double cd. This song is so good that it would melt your heart the moment you hear it...Any other artist would have released this song as a single for sure...
So in closing 2 Great new songs by The Legend Mariah Carey that continues to define words like 'Perfection','Heavenly' and...'WOW'!
with everything she does! The price of the single is low, The CD itself is a 'MUST HAVE' to everybody who enjoyes truley Great music (and i'm not just talking about just Hardcore Mariah fans), and all the money from the sales of the cd goes to the families of the victims of September 11! This cd has it ALL and if you haven't bought it by now....DO IT NOW!!! you don't know what you're missing!!!!

I heard the Never Too Far/Hero medley long before its release and I thought it was great. I also has a listen to the cd quality version of the b-side to this single, There For Me, which is an amazing Mariah song altogether. I highly recommend this for not only your average Mariah fan, but any Pop fan in need of a stocking-stuffer this holiday season!

Despite unfortunate recent lapses, Maraih Carey manages to stand tall with an unbeatable single. The first track Never too far was already released in her first soundtrack soundtrack Glitter when this single came out but Mariah with her 100% musiacl mind decided to make a medley instead of releasing the same old song, so she picked her 1993 #1 hit Hero to make this golden record. There For Me is an unreleased track, which she co-wrote with the ultimate ballad writer Daian Warren and the respectable David Foster. The song is an amazing Mariah classic ballad and it showcases the singer's multi-octave angelic voice.If and for any reason you haven't bought this masterpeice of music, you should run to the nearest music shop and do so... it's a must have

Mariah definately proves that she is still one of the world's best singers with this cd single. This single was made to help the victims of the September 11th attacks, with all the profits going to charity. This reason alone is why this is a must have cd, not only do you get two great songs but, you are also helping someone in need. Anyways, "Never Too Far/Hero" is amazing! The two songs fit so well together and it has such a positive and beautiful message. "There For Me" is one of Mariah's previously unreleased songs. This song is another hit with beautiful lyrics and Mariah's voice is at its best! I hope this review helps whoever reads it, believe me this cd is worth every penny!

This CD was worth every penny and the fact that the proceeds are going to the September 11 fund is even better. The idea of combining "Never Too Far" and "Hero" together was a neat idea. Mariah's vocals were supreme. The second song, "There For Me" blew me away. I can't understand why this song has never shown up on any of Mariah's previous albums. This song would be a sure hit if it wasn't a 'b' side song. Mariah co-wrote it with two of the best people in music: David Foster and Diane Warren. Mariah can easily sell her music with her voice alone unlike the Britneys and the Christinas. Keep up with the great songs, Mariah

This is a really meaningful single that Mariah has made since the money goes to the 911 event charity. Beside that, the songs here are simply INCREDIBLE! Never Too Far by itself is already an EXCELLENT song--now it's been combined with Hero? Who can criticize this medley of two powerful and GREAT songs?! And There For Me is another one of Mariah's songs that I can never get enough of! It's truly a beautiful ballade, although I think Mariah could've not sounded kind of strained at the end. Overall, I really think this is a must-have single. I don't know why it's not doing well on the charts. I thought, like the Greatest Hits, that people (even those non-Mariah-lovers) would like these songs...but I guess that MANY people in North America just don't want this talented singer to get even more famous! Look at her sales OVERSEAS! The tremendously-criticized-by-Americans soundtrack "Glitter" debuted at #1 in Japan and Brazil, and it's doing very well in the UK, and other countries! weird...despising your own local singer like that.

I have never been a diehard Mariah Carey fan. But for some reason, after I heard some of the songs from her Glitter album, I decided to buy it and loved it (yeah i know not many people can claim becoming fans because of Glitter) and so i got this single as a gift for Christmas. I liked Never Too Far and of course everybody has heard the song Hero, and they went together really well. But the real star is There For Me, a song written by Mariah, Diane Warren, and David Foster. When I first heard it, I dismissed it. I'm not sure why, maybe I was tired of Mariah. But a few weeks ago i listened to it again. Whoa, it just blew me away. It manages to be moving, inspirational, and moving without ever getting sappy. The lyrics are great and the melody is beautiful enough to make you get teary-eyed. She really proves she is a great singer. Go out and buy it today!

More than mariah, more than a singer, more than a woman who managed to recover and always gives her all.
I can honesly say, that this is one of the best songs released of all times mariah successfuly incorporates the events of 9/11 with a noticeable thank u to her fans returning to her original balad tempo.
More than beautifuly done, is a masterpiece.

mariah is finally back with two great old school ballads. this is the mariah the world fell in love with! "there for me" is fabulous, and all of her fans(and everyone else) is hoping that she will continue making songs exactly like these. the cover is absolutly beautiful, mariah looks truly happy.

p.s. to the reviewer who asked why mariah didnt put any of her glitter tracks or "there for me" on her greatest hits, its because mariah had no control over the greatest hits album released in dec. it was released by columbia and not virgin, and done basically to spite her for leaving. they released it at a horrible time with little press and mariah didnt have anything to do with it.

I JUST KNOW THAT MARIAH WAS SINGING TO US [HER UNCONDITIONAL FANS!] WHEN SHE WROTE THERE FOR ME. IT IS A DEDICATION TO SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN HER ROCK. SHE IS VERY APPRECIATIVE OF THE SUPPORT SHE RECEIVES FROM US JUST AS WE APPRECIATE HOW SHE INSPIRES US. THIS SONG IS VERY WELL WRITTEN. THE CLEVER RHYME SCHEMES AND LYRICS BLEW MY MIND. THE WRITING LEVEL IS SIMILAR TO THAT OF REFLECTION. I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG! IT ALMOST HAS A JAZZY SOUND TO IT AND IS SCREAMING FOR A JAZZY REMIX. SHE IS RADIANT ON THE COVER. MARIAH SHINES WHEN SHE DOES AN EARTHY CAREFREE COVER. I HAVE ALL OF HER MUSIC AND AM SO HAPPY SHE IS DOING APPEARANCES AGAIN. HER BIRTHDAY DEDICATION TO ALI WAS AWESOME! I SEE SO MANY EXTRAORDINARY THINGS IN HER MUSICAL FUTURE. I RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WHO LOVES HER UPPER RANGE LISTEN TO BLISS FROM HER RAINBOW CD. NO ONE SPEAKS OF HEARTSTOPPING BALLADS LIKE THIS ONE. I WISH EVERYONE WOULD STOP GIVING HER A HARD TIME AND RECOGNIZE AN ICON IN OUR PRESENCE. NOT TO MENTION JAZZY BALLADS FOR A CANDLELIGHT TYPE NIGHT-BLISS, ROOFTOP, BABYDOLL, MY ALL, MELT AWAY, ETC. THEN THERE ARE THE SONGS SHE CONTINUES TO ALLOW US TO KNOW HER WITH-PETAL, I AM FREE, CLOSE MY EYES, OUTSIDE, AND CAN'T TAKE THAT AWAY. I'D LIKE TO SEE A FAVORITE BALLAD ALBUM RELEASED OR A THEME ALBUM WITH SONGS THAT ARE GROUPED ACCORDING TO SIMILAR TOPICS. THIS IS THE REASON SHE TOUCHES SUCH A VARIETY OF FANS. EVERYONE HAS EITHER FALLEN IN LOVE, LOST A LOVED ONE, FELT LONELY OR OUTSIDE, AND LETS FACE IT; EVERYONE LIKES TO PARTY TO HER UPBEAT TITLE RELEASES. KEEP INSPIRING ME, MC. I'VE WRITTEN A SONG THAT ONLY YOU CAN SING. CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR YOU SING IT TO ME.
