The Answer IS The Answer!,

I saw them on The Letterman Show and was absolutely blown away...as was Dave who is a rock lover from way back.
It's very simple, if you like gut-wrenching rock, find Paul Rodgers' voice an ultimate voice to convey the music to your brain, and yes they also resemble Led Zeppelin...so what is so wrong with that? Look at it this way, Robert Plant is singing ballads with Alison Krauss now and Jimmy Page is trying to reform Zep but with no success since the guys are older now and have lost a step or three. The Answer, in my opinion, is a fabulous vehicle to keep rock and roll alive and well. These Irish dudes are killin' the crowds opening for AC/DC so well that even AC/DC members come out to watch them perform. The guy who wrote the 1-star review is either a snob or is just trying to get some attention by calling them clones of Zep. Maybe they are to some degree, but please...tell me what's wrong with that! Bottom line: If you love blues-based, hard rockin', diaphragm-clenching music...then here you have found it, THE ANSWER. P.S. Special thanks to Ireland for giving us this ultra-kickass band. ROCK ON!

The Answer is the the answer to rock. This is dirty, sweaty, and gritty rock n roll that sound like a modern Zeppelin. Too bad this is just an EP because I wanted to hear more. I would suggest purchasing their previous import CD. These guys should have a bright future ahead of them.

The Real Deal - Met These Cats From Ireland In Tacoma.,
By
This review is from: Never Too Late (CD EP/DVD) (Audio CD)
I saw these guys with AC/DC at the Tacomadome. They reproduce just like the album. They convey the dynamics to the stage that you'll get on this well-produced masterpiece. After the show the guys checked out my favorite St. Patty's Day shirt "Irish Yoga" which depicts three Irish guys passed out in different positions and stated that they were Irish Yoga "instructors". Cool guys. They invited me and my bud over for drinks at a tequila bar called the El Matador in downtown Tacoma. We had some cocktails and talked about the musical influences and fishing, etc.. Really down to earth dudes and I learned they are pretty huge in Europe with who's who of Rock Royalty singing praises about their efforts. It was pretty funny to be rapping with them after they played for a crowd of 22,000 and probably few of which realized beforehand what a treat they were about to get. Although there is some Zep in the mix (a good thing), after talking to them, I think you'll find these lads putting out some tracks in the future that will go in many different directions musically in a really good way. These guys will be huge stateside after the tour. Can't wait to see a full two hours of them on their own! They also have an album out in March 2009 entitled "Everyday Demons".

They ARE The Answer!!,

This stuff is great!!! It sounds like Zeppelin while still being original. (By the way, M. Ferris should checkout their MySpace page. There's a picture of The Answer with Jimmy Page...and he's smiling!!!)

Rock & Roll,

This is what rock & roll is supposed to sound like! These guys have all the qualifications to make it big. Their tour with AC/DC should get them some visibility. I have been listening to them for a couple years now (buying import CDs) and it is about time the US music scene has brought them over.

$5 for a VD and 50 min DVD. The Answer are one of my favorite new bands, started with Everyday Demons and worked backwards. Great value and great music. Rock isn't dead, it's just been ignored by wanna-be-hip-ever-so-earnest critics drooling over the latest po faced hating life miserable alt/indie band.

Not original, really?,
This review is from: Never Too Late (CD EP/DVD) (Audio CD)
Compared to the lyrical drivel and guttural growls of todays hard rock and metal. This band is very original. Yes they resemble Led Zeppelin, but why does every hard rock band have to be compared to them. I also hear a bit of good 80's metal and glam in their music. This is extremely fun stuff for those looking to go back in time a bit. Give it a listen!

Never heard of this band until I saw them open for AC/DC in Tulsa last night. Immediately sought out and downloaded everything I could find of theirs this morning. As others have posted, yes they channel a bit of Zeppelin, but I also heard some 70s Ted Nugent guitar and 90s Black Crows trying to get out as well. But the band I'd most compare them to is Thin Lizzy, with their rhythm arrangements and key changes. I'm their newest fan.

Never Too Late ****
Finally a copy of this was tracked down. I have been searching for any release by the Answer for quite some time. Given I was a little dissapointed when all I could find was a four song Ep, however it is a damn good Ep. This four Irishmen having been receiving comparisons to prime Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and I want to add Aerosmith to this list. Also would like to note that they are known for including Aerosmiths 'Sweet Emotion' into their set list, a song which they cover very well. AS for the Ep itself, it is a four song power house. 'Never Too late' the title track alongside 'Highwater Or Hell' make the perfect paring of great rock n' rollers complete with incredible vocals and hard crunching guitar riffs and great solos. 'The Doctor' being the strongest track on the release is slow crawling blues with some of the finest guitar playing I have heard in years. But the Ep closes with what might be the bands most popular song as of yet, 'Come Follow Me' while recorded live in Japan is still a powerhouse and contains one of the best rock riffs in a long time. Many issues of the Ep are released with a second dvd which contains live footage and music videos which is really cool and can only add to the release. The Answer is the sort of rock n' roll band that many like myself live for with their sleazy guitar rock while other find it emotionless and pretentious. It is both and it should be, that is what rock n' roll is about. Check it out

The NEW Zepplelin?,

I saw them on Letterman, and with a LOOK and Style that echos LED Z, this band should be big. A good sound and the hair to go with it.
