This review is from: We Never Had Any Trouble Before: A Handbook for Parents on Subjects Including Appearance, Drugs, Living Together, Communication, Divorce, Discipline, ... Sex, Suicide, Responsibility, and Ethics (Hardcover)
This book was written a long time ago and most people who see it won't know that the hippie in the author photo went on to become a leading educational administrator and then the minister of a thriving church. Writing in the 70's, he was one of the first to understand that teenagers would need to be treated differently in the years to come: not with expectations of total obedience but also not as adults to be left adrift in a mine field of serious risks. It's dated but worth the read for any parent who wants to find a way to be liberal but firm.
