5.0 out of 5 stars If You Are Dumb, You Will Not Understand This
First of all I am a christian, and I love Jesus.

Second of all I can take a joke.

Third, this is one great EP.

You're Wrong has to be the most straightforward politcal song I've ever heard. I mean this band is only bashing christianity because of how most christians (specifically in high places) are corrupt and are waging a war,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, but a nice teaser
Although the six songs on here are far from NOFX's best work, they are still a nice teaser for what is to come in Wolves in Wolves Clothing, which will probably turn out to be a mediocre album if the songs are on par with these.

The songs are not amazing, but they don't suck either. I'd only pick up this EP if you're already a NOFX fan. If not, get some of...

First of all I am a christian, and I love Jesus.

Second of all I can take a joke.

Third, this is one great EP.

You're Wrong has to be the most straightforward politcal song I've ever heard. I mean this band is only bashing christianity because of how most christians (specifically in high places) are corrupt and are waging a war, besides their problem isnt just with christianity, its with all religions, you idiots. If you think that Bush was appointed by God to send you off to die in war, then i think you're just as dumb as all of the other sheep getting their heads blown off in iraq.Do you think any religion says you should kill for it? If anything you should be mad at these nuts, not a band. NOFX are pissed, and who do they attack you ask? not only these pigs in office but also everything they hold sacred. Who cares if Jesus is drinking a beer on the cover and he's declared a hippy that we shouldn't trust. Are we that insecure in our own faith that we cant take a few jokes. I mean this band raises a lot of good points, which are being ignored, from half of the music that we need these days. These are politcal times and this band is one of the few who are saying something about it. I mean remember Vietnam? Remember all of that great music? Remember Remdemption song? Remember Bob Dylan. oh man. Besides if you are one to be easily offended, why did you buy this if you thought the songs werent going to be a little harsh? I MEAN LOOK AT THE COVER!that should've been your first indication right there. Overall every song not only is awesome lyrically, but it has the music to back it up. NOFX question, push buttons, and challenge everything we hold dear, and someone has to do it, because its only through asking questions do we have a better understanding.
leave no topic unturned. question authority. question your beliefs. that is what a TRUE democracy should be.

The songs are not amazing, but they don't suck either. I'd only pick up this EP if you're already a NOFX fan. If not, get some of their older stuff first and then buy their full length album when it comes out if you're still interested.

This is not NOFX at their best, but I must say even NOFX at their worst is pretty damn good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best EP Ever made, April 9, 2006
This review is from: Never Trust a Hippy (Audio CD)
First of all about Brendan Schultz's review it is an ep it is supposed to be short. This is a great cd the best songs would be Seeing Double At The Triple Rock, Im Going To Hell For This One, and Golden Boys. Some advice would be not to order this on amazon but get it for $6 and only $2 shipping and handling at Fatwreck.com or Nofx.org and save yourself a lot of money.

2.0 out of 5 stars Yeah, it sounds like NoFx, April 11, 2006
By
This review is from: Never Trust a Hippy (Audio CD)
Don't get me wrong, this EP is enjoyable and perhaps worth the asking price for "Golden Boys" and "You're Wrong," but since the band started cleaning up their sound around 10 years ago the albums have been consistent yet stagnant - always fun, always good for a nice snicker, an irresistable hook, an adrenaline-pumping breakdown here or there, a gimmicky song or ballad sandwiched in between; never really doing anything new or really out of the ordinary, but I suppose you can't really expect them to. The fact that you can depend on them to just be the same old NoFX is quite good enough if that's your thing, and why the hell wouldn't it be? Want a phenomenal EP by NoFX? Get "The Decline" (one long-ass song, and well worth it). It's a punk masterpiece. Want to add to your collection and whet your appetite for "Wolves?" Get this.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fat Mike should get over himself, October 24, 2006
This review is from: Never Trust a Hippy (Audio CD)
I think it's funny when people act as if NOFX, with albums like this one, is doing something, new, important, or intelligent. I'm sorry kids, mindlessly taking an anti mainstream approach does not make you specialz. The saddest part is that these guys have got a great sound. My advice: let the pretentious political lectures slide and enjoy some catchy fun times punk rock. Too bad Fat Mike's got the politics of a high school punk who thinks he's enlightened after reading the works of Michael Moore. Republican or Democrat, I don't care. Just try to have an argument better than 'anything popular is bad because George Bush is stupid!' Why is it that all self-confessed non-conformists conform to liberal stereotypes? Way to think for yourself.

Please don't mistake me for a troll. These guys have talent, and this is a fun sounding punk record. It is super catchy and I do recommend it. Just be prepared for many juvenile political rants disguised as lyrics. Such a waste.

4.0 out of 5 stars reveiw the album, not the band, or the people, June 22, 2009
This review is from: Never Trust a Hippy (Audio CD)
this is a good EP. thats all there is too it, your opinion of fat mike does not factor into it. yes he is a sellout, yes he is a douche-bag, so is johnny rotten, so was johnny ramone, so are the large magority of famous punk. who you listen too does not determine your "punk-ness" whether you give a crap about what others think about what you listen too determines your "punk-ness". this is a fine CD, and fun to listen to. it has it's preachy moments, but nothing is ever perfect.

This is a great CD, only problem is it's too short. Everything they do is great and it's a decent distraction from all the terrible things going on in the country right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best new punk this year!, December 15, 2006
This review is from: Never Trust a Hippy (Audio CD)
First off, NOFX rules! Fat Mike is a clever, great songwriter. This is a pretty good E.P. too. I for one am an atheist so i am not offended by this and think the religious humor is hysterical. The christian people need to get over themselves if they find this offensive! Just shut up! I can not count the number of christians at my school who make fun of me for being an atheist. I aint complaining! If you're a christian and offended at this, then quit listening to punk rock! Hey you idiot kids who were panning my review, dont listen to crap. Its bad for you! Im not a "kiddo" by the way. I am 20 and own way more punk albums than you will ever own. Do you even know real punk? do you know the Dead Kennedys? Do you know the Subhumans? Do you know the Damned and Minor threat. Christianity and punk do not mix! Oh, and by the way, learn how to spell IDIOT!!
