I Would Like To Be Stranded In The Desert With Claudia !!!, May 16, 2005
This review is from: Never on Tuesday [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie is a gem about two Hormonally Charged Teenagers , Matt and Eddie who are on their way to California in search of a better sex life. While driving in the desert they crash into a car driven by Tuesday, played by Claudia Christian. Claudia is ABSOLUTELY DROP DEAD GORGEOUS is this movie and Matt and Eddie think they just might have a sexual encounter with her. Sadly their hopes are dashed when Tuesday reveals she is a lesbian much to the guy's dismay!!! There is a wonderful brilliantly acted scene in this movie where a spooky story is told by the light of a desert campfire. This would have to be one of my favourite movies and I think you will love it too.

Desert Diversion, April 1, 2004
This review is from: Never on Tuesday [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Three people are grounded in the desert, after Matt (Andrew Lauer) and Eddie (Peter Berg) total Tuesday's automobile (Claudia Christian). Tuesday turns out to be a drop dead gorgeous girl, although much to their dismay, she is revealed as a lesbian. A sensitive, fun-loving lesbian with ambition. Matt and Eddie are far from impressionable in her eyes. So the two jokers are stranded in the desert with the most beautiful girl they have ever set eyes on ... and little chance of winning her over. With nothing but miles and miles of nothing, who is going to offer them a lift?
'Never on a Tuesday' is directed by cult icon, Adam Rifkin (The Dark Backward, The Chase, Detroit Rock City). There is a wealth of talent here, especially the hilarious cameos, whose roles I would like to have seen extended: Charlie Sheen (Thief), Emilio Estevez and Cary Elwes (Tow truck drivers), Nicholas Cage (Guy in sports car), and Judd Nelson (Motorcycle cop). In fact, the film is worth viewing solely for these short segments.
A funny, sometimes insightful film, packed with outlandish characters, 'Never on a Tuesday' puts a whole new slant on the theme of being stranded.

Lost in the Desert, May 15, 2001

This review is from: Never on Tuesday [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Three unlikely characters become stranded in the desert when the boys slam into Tuesday's car. She's a photographer on her way to an assignment and the crash is a real irritant, as are the boys in the other car, who are on their way to California to meet GIRLS on the beach. There's a great scene when the boys see Tuesday exit her car legs first and they stare at her in complete awe. They start out as an unlikely trio waiting to be rescued. Both boys are dismayed to learn that Tuesday is a lesbian (she probably breaks all their steroetypes of what a lesbian is) but Eddie is sure he can "change her". The boys have some great fantasy scenes. It is interesting to watch Eddie's macho image break down as time passes. The casting is great. There are some cameos that are really funny. All in all a quirky, fun comedy.
