Never Will I Leave You
Ann Browning
Create Space
Christian Romance; Suspense/Mystery
5 Stars

Never Will I Leave You is a novel that once you pick it up and read the first page you will be hooked right to the exciting conclusion. It has romance, suspense, deceit, jealousy and murder while being a Christian based book.

When Leslie Mason finds herself in an adulterous affair, it's a dream that finally brings her to the realization that she needs to end it and get her marriage back in order. Both her and her husband are Christians and she knows what she is doing is wrong, but Nicholas Jano is not about to let her go. He says he loves her and he will eventually have her for his own. Two months later when Leslie's husband stops at the drug store for his evening paper he is gunned down in what is suppose to look like armed robbery of the store. Only one problem he is the only one shot. Was he the intended target? Leslie pregnant with their first child loses the baby and in the process turns her back on God. Even though she asked for forgiveness for her sin, she feels God took away her husband and child to punish her. Going back to Ohio with her mother has not helped, Nicholas is still chasing after her. Leslie Life has really taken a turn to the wrong and she is not having much help getting it straightened out. When people that have harmed her end up dead is it a coincidence or is Nicholas behind it. Will her two closest friends turn their back on her or will they help pull her back into reality? Will after all her trials she has gone through will Leslie eventually turn back to God the one that can help her the most and never leave her? Does Nicholas really love Leslie or is she an obsession he has to have?

It was a good book, although it was a little hard to follow in spots. I really enjoyed the book, although there were a lot of times that I really wanted to stop reading it because of all the errors. There were sentences that were started but not finished, that had nothing to do with what was going on before or after those errors. There were also a lot of spelling and grammar errors. That is one thing I can't stand when I read a book, when things are misspelled and words are used wrong, etc. This isn't the first book I've read with lots of errors in it, but this one had more than any other book I've read so far. I don't understand, do people not proofread their work before it's "published", even if it was just a kindle book??? I got this book for free, but I see now that it is $2.99. If I had paid for this book and it had as many errors in it as it does, I would be VERY unhappy.

I have to assume the other readers read another book by the same name because the book I read was really badly written. The dialogue was stilted, there was no cohesiveness to hold the story together, There was no background, no embellishing the writing. I felt like I was reading a long story by a middle schooler! I loved the premise of the book, but the story telling left much, much to be desired. I think the author could do a lot better work - and maybe an editor would help? Sorry. I love Christian fiction, but this did nothing for me.

I also noticed a lot of errors in the Kindle version, misspellings, paragraphs were twisted around in several places and I'm not exactly sure what was going on. I've noticed that in several Kindle editions, but this was is b-a-d. Unless this is free, you might want to wait for later editions, where hopefully it's cleaned up.

The book's description made me put it at the top of my reading list. What a mistake! After plodding through several pages of bad writing, I gave up.

While a fictional work of heart touching romance and riveting suspense, "Never Will I Leave You" beautifully portrays God's omnipresence. All who read will be left with something to think about. Literally, there is something for everyone in this book. Congratulations to Ann Browning!

I ordered this book (Never Will I Leave You by Ann Browning from Amazon Kindle store). I loved the title and the cover - which was not included in the kindle edition. I started reading the book and almost stopped, thinking it was not Christian fiction. I went on Amazon's website and searched out Ann Browning and found out she is a Christian author - so, back to the book - hoping it was not too sexually explicit. I read the entire book, was really disappointed there were so many error in the text. I found sentences that were not complete with missing words, but then several screens ahead, there were the word/words that were missing from the previous pages. As a Word Processor and computer instructor for over 30 years, I was very frustrated. I would have loved the book if it wasn't so poorly edited. Maybe it was because it was for the Kindle. I thought I was getting the book for free and was surprised that I had to pay for it ($2.99) - not worth it!!

I just finished reading this book after learning through Facebook that it had been published by someone that I went to school with. This is Ann Browning's second book and it was a very well written book. I purchased the Kindle version as soon as I saw that it was available and I read the entire book that day. I stayed up until 2am because I only had three chapters to go and wanted to see how it ended. There were enough twists and turns in the book to keep you guessing on the ending. Kudos to Ann Browning and I look forward to her future works.
