I remember the old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. I even saw a few recently. Yes, they're old, and the animation isn't even in the same ballpark as the stuff we consider decent today (except South Park, but it's a stretch to call anything about South Park "decent"). But they're clever and funny. How long has it been, fifty years? They're still worth watching.

If I were to watch this DVD, would it make me sorry I did? Does it do anything like justice, even in part, to the original?

I'm skeptical of remakes. I haven't seen this one, but usually there is no point.

Remake Schremake: Look at that cast! How bad can it be?!

Spork says:
There are plenty of bad movies with terrific casts. For example, I like many of the people in "Ocean's 12" but it was a very lame movie.

That's exactly what I'm asking. :)

Let the nice memory of the cartoon live on and avoid the movie.

yeah, Oceans 12's subtitle should have been: "Paychecks for everyone!"

This isn't technically a remake, is it?
