Old school fantasy,

This review is from: Neverwas: Forgotten Tales of Albion (Kindle Edition)
I read far more horror and paranormal stuff than I do straight fantasy these days. Still I was interested in reading this since I'm always on the lookout for a new author to follow and Fred appeared on my radar recently. This is a collection of three stories, two short ones and one longer one. The short stories are the gems here. They're all done in a old school, fairy tale kind of style. That works for me in the short ones, not so much in the novelette. If you really enjoy fantasy/fairy tales you'll likely enjoy these a great deal. Fred plays with the tropes and has a great deal of fun with them. I particularly liked the richness of his description.

I totally love these little fairy tales. The Bullfinch and the General is one of the best stories I've read in a long time. I can't wait to read more from this author.
