Editorial Reviews

Marshall Law are METAL! That's all there is to say on the subject! Their music has often been compared to legendary West Midlands compatriots Judas Priest and, while that tells a large part of the story, there is much, much more to the band than that. This, their third album from 1992, is presented here in a gloriously remixed and remastered form (courtesy of the album's original producer Robin George) and with the inclusion of a bonus track not previously available on the album. When originally released, the album sold 35,000 plus in Japan alone - a country where they continue to recognize the worth of this awesome rocking machine! With the band now reformed, recording and playing shows and with plans underway for more remastered reissues, this is the perfect time to become re-acquainted with the band!

I think the songs on Neverworld on really good songs but I think it could have been recorded much better. You would think in these modern times that recordings could sound more awesome. Their MAGIC NEVER DIES cd sounds very pristine and just about perfect but all their other albums sound kind of distorted. I think this one has one song that's like 9:00 plus and that's kind of too long. I like it when heavy metal groups keep their songs at about 4:30 to 5:30 or so. This is still an improvement over the first album, even though the first was really good. Maybe they will later do remasterings on the others that I have a problem with and we'll have to shell out the dough for them again. I would give this five stars, instead of 4.5, if it weren't for the sound quality. Other than that, this is a fine collection of songs. ENJOY!!!

"The UK rockers return with their sophomore album and it proves to be an absolute killer. If this band were Carlsberg they'd probably be the best in the world but they'll have to make do with being the best in Europe for now. Symphonic, well constructed, Power Metal from people who are obviously highly talented. Production (Karl Groom) is nothing short of sensational. For those who reckon that only the Scandinavians can do this sort of thing, we implore you to open your minds and give this album a try. You WILL NOT be disappointed."
