A collection of great writings,
By Bluestream (in my world) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Neville Reader (Paperback)
This is a new release by Devorss books, a collection of Neville Goddard's writings. It consists of his previous books "Law and Promise", "Seedtime and Harvest", and "Resurrection". While the writing of Neville retain's their magic, Devorss seems to have printed this book in a rush, with several typos. Some silly things like "Imaging Creates Reality" rather than the correct term Neville used "Imagining Creates Reality" (note the title to the first chapter already contains a typo). BUt over the book, there are a few more, maybe not more than 10, some are like "f" which should have been "of", etc. (We should bear in mind most reprints of popular books always have typos in them, perhaps there is not anyone to proofread old books.)
The good thing is this new publishing gives the old collection a new type face, which makes it look really good and modern. Overall if you are not fussy about a few typos, this book is a gem for those looking for spiritual meaning in life. The only thing Neville's books teach is that 'Imagination creates events of our life, and it is the sole cause of events'. The first book in this collection "Law and Promise" contains real cases one after another of how imagination creates man's wildest fancy. I myself have benefited from discoveriing Neville, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, applied what he teaches, and I have many experiences in using pure imagination to create things I want in life - a perfect job, a perfect apartment to live in with cheap rent, getting the perfect co-tenants, attracting relationships etc.

Fantastic information,
This review is from: The Neville Reader (Paperback)
It has to be said that as a mystic Neville is in a whole different dimension. Fabulous information with biblical references included but not so much that a non-Christian would be put off by it. His teachings on the power of the imagination are life-altering. This is a must-read for any metaphysician. Peace and love!

A Fine Neville Anthology,
By Vieux Carré Blonde (Northampton, Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Neville Reader (Paperback)
Neville Goddard was a rare bird, even among twentieth century mystics. Not enough is known about his upbringing in Barbados, and what specifically compelled him toward the New Thought Movement and away from his New York theatrical career. According to Neville, the ascended master who became his teacher was awaiting him.
Any serious student of Manifestation, New Thought, Law of Attraction, etc. should not be without this fine compendium of Neville's words...and should seek further, namely to recordings of Neville's public lectures. His voice delivers his convincing rhetoric and case histories elegantly. Once one hears it, returning to the written words, that voice echoes within, as though Neville himself was speaking aloud again, from each page. Astute learners would do well to have significant grounding in Old and New Testaments and Kabbalah, as did the author, himself. Some of his subtler assumptions bespeak a pedagogy that far outranks his more popular contemporaries.

I stumbled over neville's books by "accident" but have become a devoted fan.He had a unique way of thought,if to mention one-a thought once thought, does not fade into the past-it goes like a thread into the future and creates; i.e, we create our future with what we think and feel today. So you cannot afford a negative thought.I love reading his books again and again.my next step must be changing my attitude, and this book is a great push forward.thank's

I found out about Neville while reading one of Gregg Braden's books (excellent books that add science to spirituality). This is the second book of Neville's I've read along with the lectures online. It is, like the others a blessing in itself. I read a few pages daily for motivation and to keep me on track with how I want my life to be. Of all the 'out of the box' spiritual ideas I've studied over the years Neville is the final stage for me. This book is good as a starter or as an addition because what I have found out is that no matter where you start in his writings there is constantly new messages coming up.

Everyone should read this book and apply this principle in their life. If everyone was following this, the world we live in would be fullfilled with love and abondance for all of us human. But I think this is not a book for those who are already robotized and controlled by the ideas and systems put in place by the governments and society, they would not understand or beleive that the power we have inside us is greater than anything we can imagine.
