5.0 out of 5 stars The New 35mm Photographer's Handbook
An excellent book on everything you need to know about 35mm photography. Good text, plenty of example shots, excellent graphics, it's a great all-round manual. Better for beginners / intermediate. Buy it! Cheers, Cotty.

3.0 out of 5 stars General Photography book, not much else
I think the book's title is a bit misleading in that the handbook really doesn't tell you how to get the most out of your camera. I bought the book hoping to learn something new, but the focus is more about general concepts, such as how to buy a camera, basic shooting techniques, etc. I read the book in a day because I already knew what was in the book -- I gave this...

This book is well written and has lots of good examples for pictures but offers very little in how to take better pictures with your camera. It doesn't explain many terms either. Overall, after reading the book, I didn't find it very useful.

Good for the basics but information is way out of date. Not much to see here...
