I've read a bunch of self-help books (100's at least) - and while many of them are good, most are focused on techniques, exercises, writing down your values, etc. That's great, but none of them have given me what this book has: the ability to go and play and be happy. And really, that's all I ever wanted out of those other self-help books.

David's book is amazing, because through his ideas, you understand that you can be happy now... in this moment... wherever you are. You can have adventure now. I've spent most of my life creating suffering - either through reliving the past or projecting into the future - and David's book finally turned on the switch. You can't live in the past or the future... you need to live NOW! And in understanding that, you can have so many adventures, so much fun and joy - that you'll finally realize that happiness, adventure, success, joy, etc. isn't in the future, it's NOW!

Best of all, if you get that, David's book holds more than 541 adventures. If you get the concept behind David's book, you'll discover that there are adventures everywhere in your life, regardless of your age, education, financial situation, relationship, etc. David has written an amazing book that I recommend to all of my fellow self-help "junkies" who want to stop doing so many "techniques" and start living a fun, adventurous life!

... He has put years of work into this delightful little gem of a book. Just pick it up and open to any page and right away loads of wonderful ideas and suggestions come pouring out - a regular Cornucopia of consciousness!

David sees the world just a little bit different that you and I and that makes all the difference, for his suggestions often have a slight twist or exaggerated quality, but are easily accessible by almost anyone.

Sure to bring a smile to your soul as well as a tangy new twist to your life!

This is a subversive book in the best sense of the word. It reminds us, again and again, that as long as we look "out there" for the source of meaning in our lives, we are doomed to wander and wonder. But when we accept that we get to create the adventure and meaning in our lives from the raw material of existence itself, we have a shot at constructing lives worth living. The insights and exercises in this book are obvious only when we make that great leap to the frontier that we carry with us. When so many books purport to be our guides to a better life "out there" this book works to remind us that our lives already have meaning, that we are ready right where we are, and that we already have everything going for us. Recommended.

Do you fantasize about being Indiana Jones, Steve Irwin, or Richard F. or Isabel Burton? Would you love to live a life of romance, creativity and risk, meeting exotic people, exploring new and as yet uncharted lands, stepping outside the box? At the same time, are you held back from this by being too old to join the service, or having limited funds, only a little time, a 9-to-5 job and/or cold feet? Welcome to a new life!

Using only things you might find around the house (my one cavil about the book is that it assumes you're a homeowner, though renters and nomads might find it useful also) you too can join the ranks of the adventurers! Simply by taking tiny risks in your mundaine existence, you too can be living in a theme park, honing explorer and adventure skills, improving your relationships and people sense, getting in touch with your body, and much, much more! Ok, so now I sound like an infomercial. But this book does have a lot of fun things to do that get you up and out and becoming more engaged in your surroundings that could serve as baby steps towards bigger and better things, as well as making everyday life more interesting.

I'd check it out if I were you.

This adorable little book is really a delight to have in my house. It's not really a book to sit down and read cover to cover but it's more of a road map that shows me potential adventure everywhere in my life. I like to pick it up and spend a few minutes with it every day.

I never thought I was adventurous. But as I do more and more of the adventures in this book, I notice that I'm more adventurous than I thought and as a bonus, each of these adventures makes me feel more and more alive.

This is a book that invites me to challenge just about every part of my everyday life, especially the previously boring relationships throughout my life...well, I have to say I am living a bit further out there on the edge, asking for what I want and surprise, I am even getting it. And my life is changed as a result. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to finally change all of their life into a glorious adventure.

Keep it simple !!...

His suggestions are down to earth and proven that just seeing all the blues in an evening sky is worth pausing and appreciating the Lord's good heaven and earth.

Chatting with someone while in line has given me the opportunity to get to know someone in a short period of time...it's amazing how much information people will give you if you just stand there and listen...There are so many wonderful ways to put icing on the cake of life...just by observing and listening..!...Thanks David for opening my eyes and ears to the world around me !

I really enjoyed David Silberkleit's "New Adventure Every Day." He not only has me think about my life and what I am doing each day, but also to see things in a different light - to feel more, to breathe and enjoy each moment. I would highly recommend this book.

The day before my birthday, I told a friend that I intended to make the coming year better than the last. My goal was to view "life as an adventure." The next day, I spotted David Silberkleit's little book in a gift shop, and I instantly knew that it was meant for me! Inside, I found 541 interesting (and often unusual!) ways to add pizzazz to everyday life.

Since reading this book, I have been editing from my life those things that don't inspire me, and, in doing so, I have discovered just how easy, fun, and energizing it truly is when you start viewing life from a different (and somewhat zanier!) perspective. For an entertaining and inspiring read, choose A New Adventure Every Day. You, too, will discover that adventures are everywhere, just waiting for you to become a part of them. Join in!

I was struck that what initially appeared to be simplistic ideas really provides interesting springboards for incredible discovery/adventure, depending on the level one is at in his/her emotional abilities. Each of the ideas in the book presents a multitude of different possibilities and grist for further thought.

This book is petite and attractive and looks like a quick read, but in this case the adage of "Don't judge a book by its cover" truly applies! Many of the adventures described in the book are about paying attention to what and who are around us and to what is going on inside us, rich areas that we often fail to explore. Whether or not you follow the particular suggestions in this book, reading it will certainly make you more present to ways to add spice to your life and make you aware of those areas where adventure comes more, or less, easily to you.
