The little known 1989 version of the classic TV series.,

This is an official release of two episodes from the -second- time Kimba was brought to the TV screen. Some say this is the last project that Kimba's creator, Osamu Tezuka, worked on. It is different, a re-working of the old story, and takes some getting used to for us old fans. In some ways the presentation is disappointing; it feels like the series was altered for a modern Saturday Morning TV audience. The new story arc is interesting, tho, and I consider the series very much worth seeing. I'll be buying every tape they release.

I LOVE this movie! It's the only Kimba movie I saw but it's GREAT! I am getting it for christmas and I LOVE on how Kimba is a white lion and how he cares for all animals! Do buy it! |
