This review is from: The New American Commentary Volume 21a: Haggai and Malachi (Hardcover)
I purchased this volume primarily for Clendenon on Malachi, so this review applies only to that portion of the book.
I have found Clendenon to be thoroughly scholarly and very stimulating as I study through Malachi in an expository preaching series. He covers all the critical issues thoroughly and gives many insightful comments on various passages. His comments spur thoughts for personal application of the passages and are very helpful for preaching. I have noticed a few references to the work of the unbalanced John Piper which can be ignored. Piper's one theme approaches sanctification in an unbalanced way. In spite of these comments, Clendenon's work is well worth your purchase if you are studying through Malachi.

The book came in great condition for a used book. The dust jacket looked quite good too. The order was decently packaged, no complaints, and it came quickly, which I appreciated. All in all, a good transaction that I am most happy with! Thanks!
