A valuable development,
By A Customer
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
I had been self treating with a few flowers for a couple of months, taking them orally, as I was undertaking a challenging activity that has repeatedly frustrated me in the past. I am quite confident I saw clearly the remedies needed at the time. I was not really experiencing much support from the remedies; the distress persisted. My wife helped me with 2 compress treatments one day, and I experienced a profound shift in myself with regard to the issues involved. I felt a greater inner peace than I had in months. I continue to reinforce the influence with a once-daily topical application of the remedies in a hand lotion. This has served me very well in the midst of the challenging situation where I have placed myself. I don't think this result would have been possible without Kramer's knowledge.I have just started to work topically with patients and am eager to see what results obtain. Thank you.

New Bach Flower Body Maps,
By Cassandra Barnes "Cassandra" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
Healers have long known about the effectiveness of the Bach Flower Remedies, which are usually ingested. Dietmar Kramer, a licensed naturopath, has experimented successfully with applying the remedies directly on the skin. The remedies don't work if simply applied indiscriminately. Kramer and his associates have developed detailed body maps indicating where to apply which remedies for best results. New Bach Flower Body Maps presents the results of their research, a companion to his earlier volume, New Bach Flower Therapies. It includes clear and concise diagrams of the 242 areas of the body where the remedies should be applied, along with simple instructions for making compresses and lotions. Kramer wrote both volumes because "new therapeutic consequences, resulting from our practical work with the patient and an intuitive approach, have opened entirely new possibilities for Bach Flower Therapy in both diagnosis and application." Flower Therapy is based on the premise that negative emotional states manifest as physical illnesses. The Flower remedies are a non-invasive way to treat the underlying causes of disease. Therapists in the past have relied on extensive patient interviews to determine which remedy to use. Kramer's research is groundbreaking, in that he's discovered that "every Bach Flower remedy is related to an area on the surface of the body. Negative moods lead to a change in the energetic structure of these places, which often is accompanied by pain and disturbing sensations in the physical body." His body maps clearly show the recommended Flower remedy for each part of the body. In short, once healers have determined where the body is ailing, they can consult the body maps and know promptly which Flower remedy will be most effective. Kramer's research also shows that "it is possible to increase the effect of the flowers tremendously through application of Bach Flowers to the disturbed areas." He includes numerous case studies documenting his approach to treatment. New Bach Flower Body Maps is an essential reference for anyone experienced with using Bach Flower remedies.

Important & Path-breaking work,
By
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
Kramer's work of mapping the body by flower types is the most important work since Bach's original book. Infact, you could say that Kramer's work continues Bach's work.
Kramer shows that areas of the body respond to particular flowers. For example, the bronchial passage corresponds with Oak, Star & Century. By applying these to the passage you can directly influence the broncial passage. If you then combine superfically corresponding flowers with flowers corresponding to emotinal conditions (Bach's original method), it is possible to come to a full cure; even if previously you had reached a plateau with Bach's original method. Don't miss this one.

Rather dull,
By A Customer
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
I have a number of excellent books on Flower Remedies and bought this because I thought that it would add a new angle. In fact, it was rather dull and obvious in its approach and did not have a new, or intelligent, or intuitive addition to the already overcrowded market on Bach remedies. There are more than 650 other remedies out there, Bach is only a small sample. To write yet another book on the subject you need to have a very special feel for them, and the author doesn't. He's no medical intuitive. I sent the book back.

I believe that all practitioners should add this to their collection on the use of flowers for healing the emotions first. I think that its a simple and direct approach to a much lost art and much needed therapy today. Bravo!

This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
this is an excellent source for Bach flower usage due to the maps. I was able to recongnize the source of my back pain, and therefore, be able to aliviate it. It also includes a table of what flowers combine with which ones to prevent illness or improve well being.

A great resource for the beginning or advanced Flower essence user,
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
I just recommended this book to a friend of mine. I purchased this book shortly after it was published, and I keep finding interesting ways to use the knowledge. There is a companion book by the same author it's called New Bach Flower Therapies and goes very well with the Body maps for even more good information. One great thing about the Maps is people who have issues with alcohol can apply the flower essences topically instead of worrying about ingesting it. It was something that bothered me about flower essences until I discovered this book, I understand why they have to be preserved with alcohol but my friends with sensitivity to it have been missing out on a great healing modality because of it(I've since discovered there are non-alcoholic ways to preserve essences). There are thousands of flower essences in the world, many of my favorite's aren't included in the Bach remedies but I find when I run up on a tough issue I can get back to the basics with the Bach system and it helps to clear it up at a core level. Recently I had a couple of small rashes appear, I just looked up the corresponding flower to the area and applied the remedy; of course I was experiencing some emotional issues related to what was suggested in the books. There is something about putting it in it's "zone" topically that is different than ingesting it, I find I release things easier when it's targeting the specific "zone". I don't know why, but the results are enough proof for me and I've been using flower remedies for about 14 years now. I am much more sensitive than I was when I first started using them and I am still amazed at how many of my physical symptoms relate to an underlying emotional issue. When your ready to move beyond just making something go away by taking a pill to suppress it...and really digging into the why it's happening or what it's trying to teach you this is a great book to start answering those questions for yourself.

Love this book!,
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
I am so excited to have come upon this book. I have been studying the Bach flowers and using them on myself as well as family, friends, and my beloved pets. I have seen some really great results with the use of the flower essences taken internally, so I was very eager to see their amazing powers when applied topically. And that's exactly what happened. I was able to help my grandfather who was going through a very difficult time emotionally, and had a terrible pain in his head that the doctors were not able to help relieve. He is now pain free. I am very excited and feel confident to be able to help others through the use of the essences applied topically when the need arises.

Bringing new dimensions to healing,
This review is from: New Bach Flower Body Maps: Treatment by Topical Application (Paperback)
This book is of a rare kind. It contains maps of the body in order to work skillfully on the body with Bach flower remedies. I had up to the point that I found this book ingested the remedies orally, however now I do it both ways. Manually and orally.
For those who are sensitive, like me, and who have worked with these remedies and other healing systems for a long time, yet have obstacles in the body, Kramer's way to work with the remedies can be highly rewarding. This is cutting edge and it is cutting the edge to being more natural in the world, free of of old compensations.

New Bach Flower Body Maps,

Thanks to this information, I healed a skin cancer spot and didn't need the surgery. I love that it shows you what the issue is, whether you approach it from the front door or the back door. When you have a dis-ease in a particular spot, this book will tell you exactly what the mental/emotional state is that you've been indulging in that has caused this dis-ease and then take the flowers and apply them to the body to heal consciousness, which then heals the body. This is a fabulous work, and so is its companion book.
