I have in the past, used two other types of elastic shoelaces. The first type had hardware that went at the bottom of the laces as well as at the top....a bit of unnecessary complication in my opinion. The second type were the simple curly laces that stay put, just by the nature of the curls that stuck out of the top holes. Those were hard to lace and kept needing the curls stretched out during the lacing process, but were 'ok' after I was done....and the laces did not come out of the holes 'very often'.

Enter the Ten Seconds Elastic Laces: I had just gotten a new pair of sneakers that came with the old tie up laces, so off I go to the Amazon website to find some more of the curly stretch laces. I happened to see these, and at first the hardware in the photo turned me off because of my experience with the other ones mentioned above. But the more I looked at the photo and read the description, the more worthy they appeared. So I ordered them. And I am extremely happy with them. They laced up very easily and smoothly, they are WAY easier to adjust, there is plenty of string to keep loose enough for my high instep, and the little hardware clip at the top is nice looking and took only about two seconds to feed strings through & adjust. With my shoes on, the shoestrings feel nice and secure, my shoes do not feel at all like they will slip off, yet there is plenty of give so my feet don't feel constricted.

Now that I know how much more I like these over all my other stretchy shoestrings, I am going to go back an get the black, grey, and white. (I got brown the first time). I guess the bottom line, is that for me these laces are perfect!

The elastic of these laces is the tightest I've tried. This is good for me. I don't bother with the plastic grips. I just tie a double knot once and I'm good to go. I used these in my sneakers for sports and shopping.

These laces have worked on my partner's shoes. She has very wide feet and also has trouble getting shoes on. These appear to work and are comfortable for her though she continues to need help pulling up the shoe's tongue after getting the shoe settled on her foot.

My husband absolutely loves the laces and they work exactly the way advertised! Great product for senior citizens
or even children. Do not have to lace up shoes anymore.

These laces make life a whole lot easier. I have a severely limited range of motion in my back which now makes bending down to tie shoelaces impossible. Now, it's a snap. Installing these laces involves lacing your shoes as you normally would, placing the lace through the simple, straightforward locking ring, pulling the lace tight, then cutting any excess lace to desired length and voila, that's it. Now, I just secure my shoes onto my feet with a pull of the laces. I found 36" to be on the long side and did end up cutting several inches off to avoid tripping on them. Although somewhat pricey, if you have mobility problems, it is a godsend and well worth the investment. I do hope that the cut edges won't fray with time. The grey color is a nice medium grey and the black is a true black.

They are awesome as shoe strings go. Love not tying. Shoes feel snug but not too tight with the elastic stretch they feel the same all day long.

I am disabled and putting on foot wear has gotten to be a chore. I switched to elastic laces a few years ago. This is the way to go.
I trim the laces to fit then make a knot on the ends. These are good quality laces and have held up very well.

These work great. I had double knee surgery and it's still hard to tie shoes. I can just slip them on.
