Lightweight, fits as expected, one of the best lifting shoes I have used at the gym.
Fit is spot on for my foot, and the new features and dropped weight make these perfect.
I bought these shoes as a gift for my hubby and he loves them!!!

I have a very niche foot: Short, wide, and really high arches. I needed something wide, breathable, and zero drop. This shoe fits great! Bought them for triathlon and marathons. I typically would just go with my vibram fivefingers but I wanted something more durable and a bit more padding for endurance sports. This fits the bill perfectly. I have no problem with my toes needing breathing room, as these shoes have plenty. I would recomend buying a size smaller if you plan not to wear socks. And yes, the tongue of this shoe is amazing as it is comfortable. No rubbing areas anywhere. This is as close to barefoot as you can get with a real shoe and the protection is flawless. I would recomend the trail version for any gravel roads, but only for durability sake, not because your feet arent padded enough. Ive logged well over a hundred miles in these and besides a bit of dust there are no blemishes. The only reason they would appear not new is the front of my right shoe where the sole is glued to the top of the toe took a rock head on and came loose. Its barely noticable and was totally my fault. Most shoes once they have a single tear or something start to peel off, they completely fall apart with more use. Not these! Still, perfect shoe for road running, get the trail if you like going off road. Also, the MT00, should you chose it, is quite narrow. Keep that in mind.

These shoes look great, but they're much more snug than the original MR00's. Not only that, but this newer model has very rigid stitching below the laces (just before the toe box) that causes pressure on the foot. I had the original MR00's in size 9 and they fit nicely with room to spare... These in size 9 are snug and I can't wear them for anything longer than 5 miles. In hindsight should've gotten a half-size larger.

SIZE UP 1/2; if you are ever concerned about width, get 2E. I normally wear 9.5; I went for a 10/2E in these and they were PERFECT. The heel felt SLIGHTLY loose, but I also think way too much about everything and can be super neurotic, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Good shoes. Compare them to Merrells road glove (right?), or other NB minimus (MR10v2) shoes, MAYBE some INNOV8s. Except that the upper is a really nice and snug, but pliable, something synthetic. The sole is nice and cushioned, at least about as cushioned as I'd like on a minimalist shoe. The Vibram part of the sole is nice, I think, or maybe just a gimmick, though it does provide for a good feel on the ground at toe off. I won't say TOO much grip, because it's just a flat rubber sole, but it does the job well enough; I'd be happy to take them on a 10k right out of the box...

And that's what I did. I got home at 10 pm, saw them outside my door, was excited, threw them on (I can't remember if I wore socks or not; I want to say no -that's important though), and went on a 4.5 mile run. I run about a 6' mile and these felt good for me with my shorter stride and midfoot impact at about 7' mile pace. I thought about them too much while running so I think I realized, unintentionally, or artificially, that they felt sluggish, as though the sole was too flexible; I like a slightly stiffer sole so I don't lose energy in toe off. Whatever though, the shoes are nice and fit well and will carry anyone for at least a 10k.

Hi ! I have recently started the Focus T25 fitness program to shave off a few lbs and get in a better physical shape. I was looking for the best shoe for this kind of activity ( indoor workout, plyometrics ) especially because I have flat feet. My go to sport is cycling and all my sneakers ( quite a few ) are casual and designer sneakers, nothing truly designed for serious physical activity. 2 weeks ago I purchased a pair of Nike Lunar Flyknit 1+. They felt very light and comfortable in the beginning but after 10-15 min my feet started to hurt , especially my knees and I realized that running shoes with such a high offset are not the way to go. I did a bit of research and apparently the running world is moving towards minimalistic shoes, an esoteric name for a flat sole shoe , a shoe with the least amount of offset, a shoe that feels natural when being worn, giving you the feeling of barefoot walking/running. Enter the Minimus Zero V2 from New Balance. My first shoe from this company and definitely a game changer. Super light, super comfortable, super cool looking, the closest it gets to being barefoot while still wearing a sport shoe. It offers great stability and connection to the ground with less cushioning thus offering better balance and control. To keep it short this is the future of running , working out walking. While I cannot yet comment on the shoe's durability I am committed to wearing it from the minute I wake up until I go to sleep ... IT'S THAT COMFORTABLE !

I've spent my whole life with knee problems that has really held me back from running. I tried a pair of Nike running shoes I bought from a local running shop, and while it felt great walking around in them, they seemed to exacerbate my knees. I had read about leaning a little forward when running to put a center of gravity directly over your feet as well as not taking too large of strides. I would try to employ those techniques when running, but the shoes I had (which had a pretty big heel-to-toe drop) seemed to make it near impossible.

When I initially put these on, I was a little worried at just how much my foot now hit the ground when walking; I could really feel the impact of every step. But the real test came when I ran. I felt comfortable putting a little forward-lean in my run. I ended up running a couple miles (it had been over a year since I last ran), and it felt really good. The next day? While my calves were cramped up and tighter than a hipster's skinny jeans, my knees felt great. As I got re-acclimated to running, things just got easier. I'm currently running 3 miles every other day (doing other exercises in my off-days), and I've no signs of knee pains and calf pains are no longer an issue.

I'd recommend these shoes to everyone, especially anyone that has struggled with knee problems and the typical big heel-to-toe-drop shoes. I like them enough that I'm going to buy another pair soon just to have down the road when I wear these out (they've quickly become my everyday shoes).

I'd dock them a half point for color & design, but in the world of running shoes where loud annoying colors rule the day, these are a vast improvement over anything else I've seen.
