Fitment of the 2E is exactly what I wanted, they fit true to size and were easy to break in.
They're super light and fit like a glove and the clunky soles of the originals have been shaved down to near perfection.
The shoe fitted nicely, there are no blisters, or foot pain, enjoy wearing them were ever I go.

I have now put over 100 miles on these and wanted to wait till then to give a review.

First off going from the New Balance website they have a "see how it fits" guide. Since I have been running in MT10's and MO10's I plugged those into the calculator and it indicated I should go a half size larger. This at least in my case is not correct. It is almost to the point of being too big, but since I have already run in them I couldn't send them back but I wanted to make everyone aware that I believe you should get whatever your actual size is and not a half size larger.

Alright onto the shoe. As I said before I am coming from the 4mm drop trail shoe. I finally decided to get a set of road shoes since most of my running is on cement and asphalt. I was also having problems with my IT band on my left knee and figured my current shoes had over 800 miles on them so it was time to get a new set.

Surprising amount of cushion for a minimal shoe
    Super light
I love the soles of these shoes, I feel like I could trail run in them too

I lost the loop on the heel, I used this to attach them to the outside of my gym bag

I am not sold on the new tongue yet but it might grow on me
Not for wet running, you WILL get wet feet (not really a problem though)
As I said before, get your true size not a half size larger per New Balance's website.

Overall these are great summer/fall shoe. I am going to have to get something different for the winter, I may get another pair of MO10's or the MT1010's.

Surprisingly these shoes fit wide and the last (NL1) is cut for an american arch with wider feet. I typically wear a EE shoe and with NB i wear a 8 1/2 D. The toe box gives you ample room for your toes to splay while striking (touching) the forefoot-mid foot. These shoes are minimalist shoes, they don't offer a lot of cushion, so it takes some time to transition. I would say these shoes are a semi-advanced running shoe - if you are accustomed to heel striking or a shoe with a lot of heel cushion and forward lean then these shoes might take time to adjust.

two more points - The shoes are just a tool - like a hammer, what is more important is your technique (injury free). So don't get too hung up on this brand or that brand. Buy something that fits you well and feels comfortable. It should feel snug around the foot and room in the toe box. Do yourself a favor and run without socks, weather permitting.

Pros - light, vibram sole, breathes, comfortable, burrito tongue, sockless, good ground feel, 4mm heel drop, enough cushion easy to get on. i have worn them on basic trails in Cambria, CA - nothing rocky just hard pack clay and they were just fine. They pack down flat and take up little space - so on the motorcycle they are easy to bring along and weigh nothing. Typically i run with them on the asphalt-pavement around SM and West LA.

Cons - i wear them 3 times plus a week and my average run is around 2 miles. My feet sweat in them so they no longer have that "new car smell and feel compared to my MX20". they feely a bit yucky. Probably time to give them a wash.

    - Bit on the pricey side.
    - I wear them a lot and after about 3 months and 200 -300 miles they are starting to show some wear. small tear and the soles are slightly wearing.

After a long search for a minimal running shoe at a reasonable cost and great fit/feel, I landed with the Minimus MR10v2. I was impressed with the light weight and how it conformed nicely to my foot. There was an EVA piece from the sole that felt like it was jabbing into my arch, but didn't feel any discomfort while running. It felt as if the EVA softened up as I went. Now to the fatal issue with these shoes: after one 3 mile run, there was extreme wear on the sole. It looks like someone took a belt sander to the toe area. The non-Vibram portion is a very cheap and soft EVA that you expect on a a $5 pair of flip flops. At this rate, I would need to replace these shoes within the first month or two. This was my first, and last, experience with New Balance and was extremely disappointed with the cheap construction from this highly regarded brand.

I have to say I absolutely love these shoes for running on the road. I have been using the New Balance 10v2 Trail shoes for about a year now and they still run like new. However, those shoes I only generally use for off road trail runs. My experiences with them on pavement has been decent but I didn't want to wear them down too fast.

I have been experimenting with a pair of Merrell Road Gloves for the past few months (zero drop shoes) for a hard ball short distance shoe. When I say short distance I mean less than 5 miles on a run. Anyway, the impact on my shins over the miles leaves me with an ache that lasts for hours. I am a mid foot striker but when I get fatigued I can fall back on bad form and heel strike. I finally had enough of went to my local shoe store to buy another pair of Merrell's. These had a bit more cushion in the heel while still being light weight. However, the ache remained and I never had an ache with my trusty 10v2 Trail shoes.

I finally went on Amazon and looked around for a 4mm drop shoe like my trail and stumped upon the MR10v2. These shoes are great! They feel just like the 10v2 Trails with more padding to take the sting out of long runs. They are super light and I love the neon yellow color. I should have just stuck with my favorite shoe brand and never tested the waters in hindsight but at least I learned something. If you love the 10v2 Trails do yourself a favor and just get these shoes in the same size. You won't regret it.
