This shoe is not what I originally hoped for. It has top notch materials and the design of the shoe is great. It lacks forefoot cushioning. I'm a big guy and need that forefoot shock absorption. I have the Brooks Beast the NB 1226, the Nike equalon 4 and Vomero 5. I rate all of them higher. This is more of a status and fashion statement than a real performance shoe. They've got something here but its needs to be technically revamped to be taken seriously at such a high price tag. My favorite shoe for now is the ASICS Kayano 17 and the Brooks Trance 10. Who knows I might get a pair for walking when the price breaks a hundred dollars. Nice looking shoe. For serious running look elsewhere. Expectations are are expectedly high for a shoe that originally retailed for 200 bucks. Let's wait for a sale. A better sale. Buy the way I hate the Brooks Trance 9's. Way too narrow. I'll put reviews on my other shoes as well.

I placed the order seamlessly and effortlessly. Pricing was the best on the net. To my surprise I got an 800 number call today from RoadRunner. Talk about customer service! In this day and age? Wow! Fantastic! Polite courteous and to the point.

Oh, about the shoe.....I've worn 993's, Air Pegasus, Asics...you name it, and I've worn it. This shoe NB1906 blows them all away. I'm a pretty big guy and cover about 5 miles per day. The shoe holds up well under my pounding...plenty of bounce and responsiveness. I feel like I'm 25 again!

LOVE these. This is roughly the 8th pair of NB Ive owned in the last 10 years. They've all been good, but these are among my favorites. Super good fit, great for running, super sturdy. Sizing is perfect.

BTW, just for a backup pair of shooz, I bought a pair of brooks. Brooks are like a yugo and NB is like a mercedes E350. The difference was immense. Nuff said.

Five stars for easy purchase and fast shipping. I believe running shoes may be over rated, but have not had chance to use it yet on long run but so far shoes on short runs have been OK but not great. I purchased a NB1080 same size 10 months ago and those fit me perfect with excellent cushion and have used them in 3 10K's since the purchase w/o any discomfort. The NB MR1906 seems snug up front w/o much give. The front-medium-rear sole offers very good support. The plus is its lightness compared to the 1080. Unable to give this shoe a fair assessment until I try it in my next 10K. But I give it a 4 star for now!

I used to wear 9#, and I already bought 0.5# size bigger, but it is still a little small for my feet..

Actually this was quite a bargain, since it was marked down roughly half price at the time of purchase. My sister had given me some New Balance tennis shoes several years ago, which were showing signs of wear; so I needed a new pair. I decided to get similar shoes to replace or add to my old ones. So I filtered my search on New Balance only, and came to conclusion at the time that this was the best bargain. Highly recommend, these New Balance shoes are very soft and comfortable. Which was what sold me on New Balance, as, the shoes my sister gave me were noticeably softer, better cushioned and most comfortable than other men's tennis shoes I had worn. Easy on my feet, and I'd recommend these shoes for men of any age.

I made a size mistake I need the same new balance 1906 but size 10(D)M.
Can you change and charge the difference.

I bought these NB shoes in my normal NB size of 12.5 2E & I would have been better off with a 13 4E as these IMHO are sized smaller.
So consider this when ordering.
The shoes are nice but no big deal.

I purchased these from Amazon.com after my local New Balance store was out of stock on the item. However, when they arrived it was clear that someone had worn these shoes and returned them as there was soil in the treads and they smelled of feet! YUK! after searching I finally found a way to speak to an Amazon rep on the phone and they are to be sending me another new pair. I requested that they arrive unworn, soil & odor free..

This shoe is exactly what I hoped it would be - a well-constructed, comfortable shoe that provides just enough support and cushion. Having run exclusively in New Balance shoes since 1997, I made the switch to Brooks a couple years ago. I love the way Brooks feel and I typically wouldn't buy a running shoe online that I haven't been able to try first, but Amazon had a great price on this shoe so I decided to give them a go and I couldn't be happier. The shoe looks great, fits well and performs. Would I pay the full $200 retail for these? No, but if you can find them on sale, you won't be disappointed.
