I have owned many New Balance for years and this is the only pair that is snug in the toe. Great looking and great delivery serving but not comfortable.

The 874 is a great running shoe.
The Large soft treads get amazing traction on gravel, grass, dirt and MUD. Its ok for running on the roads and gravel is no problem. The 874 is Made in USA and buy a half size larger.

These shoes were very comfortable right out of the box. The lugs are pretty big and seem perfect for trail running but might be little much for road running. I normally wear a 12 in New Balance but I got a half bigger because of another comment, which appears to have been a good choice because these fit just right.
