I've put twenty miles on these since I received them last week and have enjoyed them. I have a wide forefoot, low arch, average width heel, and over-pronate. A local sporting goods store recommended this particular model for me. This is the first running shoe I've been professionally "fitted" for. My knees have never felt better since I started running in them. My foot measures a 9.5 2E exactly, this shoe fits perfectly with enough room in the toe box for flex and foot expansion. To top it off, it's US made. Great shoe!

I bought these shoes in local sport store two months ago and used them mostly for running on the road (about 80 miles so far). I am 5'10'' tall and weigh 170#, running 30-45 miles/week. I usually buy NB shoes since they have wide sizes 2E that I need, they are very comfortable for me and durable. I owned previous versions of this model, namely NB 769 and NB 760 which lasted well over 450 miles. Hence, I expected to get similar product. Unfortunately, this is not the case. When compared to the previous models NB 860 is way too stiff and feels like that it has no cushioning in either heels or front. Lack of flexibility is the worst issue if you run on the road. Design has also changed and 860 looks cheaper than previous models, they also removed bubble wrap laces which was a nice little touch. Overall, this is not what I expected for $100. Shoes may be good for larger person or running on the trail but without putting extra money and getting softer insoles they are worthless for me. I hope that NB can come up with better model next time.

I use to run in new balance 760s, the predecessors (including marathons). I was disappointed when NB discontinued the 760s and was hesitant to try the 860s and ran in my 760s fo far too long... Big mistake. I gave in and ordered the 860s, these shoes looked different and felt different from the 760s... I was already doubting my purchase. I laced up the shoes and went for a run...WOW... This were fantastic! They are lighter and have better heel support. highly recommend!!! Ps I also use to run in the ultra expensive ascics kayano... I felt these felt just as good!

This shoe has had some miles put on it already! Very light, very breathable. I put a set of Sole brand inserts in and it really got tight in there. I think it actually made my ankles more unstable, put something a little bit thinner in there and voila! The shoes worked like magic on my feet!

I love this shoe. Plenty of support and a great colour! I have a wide foot so a mens shoe is best for me. Might go half a size down next time. Would buy again

First off these are very comfortable runners for $70. They feel well made and sturdy. However, this is an extremely LARGE shoe regardless of what size you actually wear. I rock a 12.5, and these things are just beasts and barely fit neatly under any of my jeans. The white/grey bottom trim is huge, unnecessary and dumb looking. The shoe would be much better served having a silver/grey color scheme throughout. Overall, a near hit by NB and if you don't care about looks you'll be more than pleased.

I am a heavy guy and I need a shoe with support for rolling ankles...over pronater or something like that. These shoes are comfortable and stable....best of all made in the US

First, this thing shipped faster than anything else I've ever ordered on Amazon, bar none. Secondly, I am deployed to afghanistan, so there are no other options for new shoes but online ordering. I'll admit i bought these just a little to small, but they still fit pretty well, I would return them, but I'd be waiting forever for new shoes, i'll find someone else to gift them too. The one problem i have with these, is i usually buy new balance shoes all the time cause they fit me well, and I love the way these look in the smoke grey. However, unlike the previous NBs i've owned, the ARCH SUPPORT on these is almost non-existent, I can fit 4 fingers in between my foot and the insole without lifting my heel or toes, or the outer portion of my foot. If you have low arches and like new balance, go for these. If you have medium to high arches like myself, look elsewhere in the New Balance line or a different brand. So 4/5 for what I could see online, I wouldn't have picked these up if i could have tried them on first.

MR860 shoes do run small, would recommend buying a half size up. Really nice quality shoe, much better than what you find off the shelf at a big box store. MR860 is intended for moving forward, heel is a bit thick for repeated lateral movement. This is not a cross trainer, tennis, or basketball shoe. UPDATE: The first pair were for my son, the second pair was for me....perfect fit when ordered a half size up..

I bought this shoe recently to replace a neutral shoe. I didn't realize I was over-pronating before which seemed to cause some calf discomfort/pulling after running for about 20min. I tried out the new shoes today and my legs felt a lot better and I was able to go a further distance.

The 940 and 860 models were recommended but I didn't know if the 940 was a little too stiff for my liking. Overall I'm happy so far with the purchase.
