This is my third pair. I walk alot at work and abuse my shoes. We get a shoe allowance every 6 months to buy any shoe we want. What makes this shoe so good for me is the large toe-box, it's not the best looking shoe on the market, but if you're looking for comfort and have a wide foot I think you will like it.

these shoes feel great when i first put them on I like the wide toe area most shoes don't have that. I always try to buy new balance.

The MW901 NB walking shoe is a great fit for people with an extra wide foot. The extra room in the toe box makes them very comfortable for hard to fit walkers.

I wear a size 10.5 6E which by the way are very hard to find. This shoe fits great and last forever. I've had mine for over 2 years and wear them every day to work and play.

I've had plantar fasciitis. This shoe eliminated the problem. The problem is that I think New Balance discontinued this shoe.

I've purchased this shoe 18 months ago from Amazon.com as a walking shoe. It may not have all the good looks as some shoes have, but it's the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. It even feels better than the nice pair of Clarks I have that cost 4 times as much. I like them so much that I'll wear them almost any where, any time.

This is my second pair of New Balance shoes, the other being 992's which are probably the best running / casual shoe ever produced on the face of the earth.

Unfortunately, these shoes don't match up to the reputation of the 992's, however even coming close still means they are a good shoe.

The shoe didn't get 5 stars because the quality of the leather, although "light", is just okay.

Also, the sole of the shoe doesn't match up the the quality of my 992's. If you want a better sole, you'd have to seek out a top of the line New Balance walking shoe.

I guess you only get the best if you buy top of the line, yet these shoes are a notch or two below.

Having said that, MW901 is still a good shoe. It is very comfortable, and the sole is wide and supporting. The last is SL2. If you have a "straight" foot like mine you might want to seek out an SL-1 "last".

As you can see I am very picky about shoes. If you are too, then simply seek out the latest top of the line NB shoe and skip past the lower models.

I get the same size shoes from other brands, but with New Balance the shoe was too tight, to such level that I could hardly wear it with tube socks. The problem was in its width, no the length.

This is a very sturdy shoe with a dense soul. Good protection for walking on concrete all day. I would have given 5 stars but this shoe is not as comfortable as other walking shoes. Feels like a hiking boot. Very high quality construction.

Good comfort. A bit low cut and doesn't come up around the ankle very high. Over all good value and comfortable shoe.
