Too narrow,

I purchased the wide version of the sneaker at a half-size larger than I usually buy and the sneaker was still too narrow at the ball of the foot and through the toe box. My toes feel squished.

I got the Brown/Black/White version, and it is more brown than black. Also the lines and the outline of the N are pink even though they look whitish in the picture. I like the look of these shoes anyway, but if you don't like shoes that are too girly, you might want to pass on these. I usually wear size 5.5, and the length of these shoes were just right. However, they are a bit narrow. My feet are on the wide side, but I usually fit in the standard width. However, I ordered the wide version after reading the other reviews, and they fit well.
I've only worn these on the treadmill since it's been freezing outside since I got these shoes. They work pretty well for treadmill running. A word of caution if you want to run outside during the winter - you will slip if you're running on an icy sidewalk after it's been snowing outside. I almost fell a couple of times just walking on the icy sidewalks near my apartment. I have walking shoes that have better traction.

This shoe is chocolate brown, it is not black as listed. It is a more narrow and short than other New Balance shoes of the same size. However, the shoe is attractive and appears to be built well.

I always wear NB and this model is definately not sized correctly. It was too short and too narrow. I was very disappointed, loved the color combination, hard to find these days for women.

I like New Balance shoes, but these ones were the worst ones I've bought. After about 3 months of moderate wear (only walking, not jogging or running), both shoes ripped in the same spot by where the ankle meets the shoe. They didn't last long at all. I wouldn't recommend these shoes.

Bad design,

I agree with other reviews...the fit on these is just wrong. They feel too short and narrow in the front. I love New Balance shoes - they are all I wear, and I have never had a bad pair before....but these are awful. I am very disappointed - I ordered these because they have the same shoe last that is normally a perfect fit for me. But something went very wrong in the design of this particular shoe. The next in the series, the WT621, is fabulous. I really don't know what happened with the WT620.

I purchased the shoe for running off-terrain, and was surpised to find a good brand for a lower price. It is a little narrow in the arches, but I need that support in the arch for running off-trails - make sure to check the sizing chart before you buy it.
I was surprised at how well the shoe did in terms of shock absorption and how light it is - works great for sidewalk, trail, and track running. |
