4.0 out of 5 stars Good Training Shoe
I would give this shoe 5 stars if it would have more cushioning. I wear it almst everyday to workout in the gym. It was very stiff in the beginning until I'd broken in after 2 weeks. Still, I do not feel it has enough cushion even after I changed the insole insert. Other than that, it was very good in stibility, good control and support.

1.0 out of 5 stars new balance has lost their quality!
I have bought the wx1009 new balance shoe for 5 years, they discontinued it and replaced it with the wx1010 and increased the price. The shoe has no quality, and no support. I am very dissapointed with this product. I work out 5 days a week and need a good supportive cross trainer and always found it in the wx 1009. It will cost me 10 dollars to send this shoe back, I...

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointing shoe, April 14, 2010
I've been buying this New Balance series of shoe for several years now and always was pleased with the cushioning and support it provided doing different activities at the gym. This 1010 series is quite inferior in quality compared to the 1009 and 1008 ones of previous years. For whatever reason they redesigned the upper part of the shoe which now feels really flimsy and gives less support,it even collapses at the back of the heel when I pull it on! The cushioning inside is adequate but not sure how long it will last. Definitely not worth $109.99! Interesting to note this pair was made in the USA and the older models were made in China! Wouldn't recommend buying it!

This is a good aerobic shoe. You get what you pay for. I believe there are better ones out there, but this shoe serves it's purpose. Plan to wait TWO WEEKS for Amazon to ship it to you! It was a long wait!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars look better but less sturdy, January 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These shoes are better looking than its predecessor (1009) but not as supportive or sturdy. They feel quite flimsy and the top of the heel easily bends or gets out of shape if you put the shoe on without undoing the laces. I wouldn't purchase them again at the high price they're charging.

Bought these for my mom for Christmas to workout in and she loves them. The only thing is that the laces are very long.

I've been wearing these every day for a week (since the day I bought them). They are very comfortable. Good room in the toe box and plenty of support for me. I haven't had them long but I'm happy so far!

1.0 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment, November 7, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these shoes approx 3 - 4 weeks ago. I've Always worn New Balance shoes & have Never had any problems with them. These AA - Narrow shoes were slightly too wide when i first tried them on. I do have an extremely narrow foot and have a lot of shoes & New Balance shoes that are "slightly" too wide; however, these shoes have stretched in width each time I've worn them to exercise in. I;ll admit, I do a lot of intense workouts, but I've never had a problem with NB shoes stretching like this in the past in such a Very short time of wear. I switch between these and a running shoe, so this particular pair have been worn approx 2 - 3x per week. After the 1st wearing to workout in, the shoe was noticeably stretched afterwards. If you have a Narrow foot, don't waste your money & time with these shoes. I'll be giving mine away to a charity (Goodwill, etc.) soon. What has happened to the quality of their shoes? I've had some of their shoes for 10 years with very little stretch. Big Disappointment in New Balance!

5.0 out of 5 stars New Balance Women's Training Shoe WX1010, September 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Years ago I first bought this shoe in a New Balance store in New York, and I've been wearing it ever since. There are various models of New Balance Training shoes but this specific one, WX1010, is the top of the line. I wasn't trying to save money: I wanted the best workout shoe. Its rounded toe area was the perfect match for my foot, and the wide width I purchased was truly wide and just what I was looking for. Its soft mesh outer material also added to the comfort around the toe area, the part of my foot which always poses a problem. The support of this shoe was outstanding. Hence it became my workout shoe for years. I had to replace the shoes[[New Balance WX1010 Women's Training Shoe]] over a year later since we were instructed to do that in my workout class. And when it came time to replace the shoes a third time, I was delighted to find them on Amazon.com at a considerably lower price than I paid in the prior two retail outlets. Plus, its light blue and white simple design is very attractive. I highly recommend this particular model training shoe.

Just ordered my second pair of these shoes at a great price - comes in narrow, and fits my foot perfectly. I work out (Jazzercise, some gym stuff) and walk every day - these shoes are light weight and cushioning - and really help with my runner's knee. Thanks for the sale!
