4.0 out of 5 stars Good, not great
I love New Balance. I love the fact that they support US production (even if I have to pay more for the USA made sneakers - 993 model). I decided to give these a try. I have an average arch, average size, average all around. I got these in my usual 8's (a half size up, as recommended with most sneakers) and I wore them on my feet while WATCHING TV (no activity, I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Squeeky Sneakers
These sneakers squeeked the first time I walked wearing them. I thought the annoying squeeking would subside after wearing them awhile. Well, after ten miles on the treadmill, they are still squeeking. Since they are now considered "used" I guess I'll have to put up with the noise. As far as cushioning, which is mainly the reason I purchased these sneakers, I really...

These sneakers squeeked the first time I walked wearing them. I thought the annoying squeeking would subside after wearing them awhile. Well, after ten miles on the treadmill, they are still squeeking. Since they are now considered "used" I guess I'll have to put up with the noise. As far as cushioning, which is mainly the reason I purchased these sneakers, I really don't feel as though they are that great for cushioning. My previous sneakers were New Balance #1061 and I felt they offered a much more "cushioned" sneaker. I was sorely disappointed. For the price, these sneakers are highly overrated and not worth the price paid for them.

I love New Balance. I love the fact that they support US production (even if I have to pay more for the USA made sneakers - 993 model). I decided to give these a try. I have an average arch, average size, average all around. I got these in my usual 8's (a half size up, as recommended with most sneakers) and I wore them on my feet while WATCHING TV (no activity, I wasn't even on my feet) and within about 30 minutes my feet were hurting and tingling. Clearly, this was a concern. I Googled the cause of this, and most often it is a shoe that is TOO NARROW.

I ordered the wides in the same size -- no more problem. There was an issue with a small portion of the netting coming loose above the N on the new pair when I laced them to a fit of my liking (pretty tight). Other than that, a pretty good shoe if you can find a bargain on it. It corrects my pronation, the cushioning is nice for my foot and everything else fits wonderfully. Strange that I needed to get a wide width. This is my first wide shoe, ever.

Received the shoes in a very short time. They were excellent. I would buy from this company again.
