I have been wearing the woman's running shoes for years. This would have been my third pair of New Balance (all different model numbers#. I ordered the 7 wide and was disappointed that this shoe felt so narrow. I wanted to make sure that New Balance had not changed their sizing scheme. So, I went to a local store and tried on several different models #all 7 Wide) and they all felt true to the 7 wide I had purchased over the years. Thinking that the manufacture might have just placed the wrong tag on my shoes, I went through Shoe Mall and arranged an exchange. After getting in the second pair of WR8511, they felt just like the first pair. So now I have to return them again (and Shoe Mall charges $6.95 for returns). My advice, if you normally buy a medium width, then order the wide. Otherwise look into buying another model. I strongly recommend going to a local store and finding the correct model/size/fit for you. I rated this a 3 star, just because they are not true to size. Otherwise, they would have been a 5 star (very supportive and light weight).
