5.0 out of 5 stars New Balance Women's WW645 Walking Shoe Tan/Pink
I love these shoes!
I am walking two miles a day soon to go up to three and my feet feel as good after I walk as they do before.
I am a diabetic and also have bone spurs on the backs and bottoms of both my heels. Also have plantar fasciitis problems with both feet.

These are the first walking shoes I have had in years that cause me no problems...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great for plantar facsiitis
I bought these shoes because they were recommended for me online for my plantar facsiitis. While I found these shoes to be very comfortable around the house, the first time I actually tried them for walking any distance they were very uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it was because they forced my foot into a different position which worked alternate muscles; however,...

These are the first walking shoes I have had in years that cause me no problems when I am walking in them. I loved them so much the first few times I wore them that I ordered an extra pair to have on hand.

They also look pretty sharp which is the icing on the cake.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid Shoe, August 12, 2009
I bought this shoe because I have only purchased New Balance running shoes for years, and wanted a New Balance walking shoe. This one was bought specifically because it was one of the few that had the Absorbz sole. It is solidly made, no worries of it falling apart, even under my above average weight. However, it may be too solid as it weighs a lot. But for stability and cushioning, it ranks high.

5.0 out of 5 stars NEW BALANCE SHOES KEEP ME IN BALANCE, November 16, 2009

I purchased these shoes several months ago and have worn them everyday. I have problems with my feet and these are very comfortable. There is extra cushioning in the heel and that really helps me. My doctor said they are excellent shoes for me. They surely give me lots of support. Great shoe for walking. I will be buying another pair definitely.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great shoe!, February 9, 2010

I have an odd size of foot (10.5 wide), but this shoe fits like a glove and is perhaps the only shoe that has fit me properly within the past 5-7 years! The outside seemed a little prone to water damage, so shortly after getting the shoes, I sprayed them with a light water-repellant and since then, I have not had an issue with any kind of water damage or discoloration from the winter weather. (I live in Minnesota and wear these outside frequently)
I will likely purchase another pair or two so that I can have them on hand when I wear these ones out.
They are my favorite casual shoe. They are sturdy, comfortable, and feel like a good product. The only minor complaint is that the shoe doesn't breathe as well as others I've had. But given the overall quality of the shoe, it's a small sacrifice that I'm willing to make!

4.0 out of 5 stars toe is a little narrower than my other NB shoes, June 30, 2010

I have a wide foot and I usually buy New Balance footwear because they come in wide widths and many styles. I generally feel comfortable ordering them online because they always fit well. This style's toe tapers more than any other NB sneaker/walking show I've owned. It's not narrow, just narrower than what I'm used to. They felt comfortable when I first put them on but after walking awhile I could feel them rubbing on the sides of my pinkie toes. I didn't end up with a blister or broken skin even after walking for over an hour non-stop. I think they will just take a little breaking in.

I like the color (I got tan/pink) and the look of the shoe. I just wish the front of the shoe was a little more rounded.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great for plantar facsiitis, October 21, 2010

I bought these shoes because they were recommended for me online for my plantar facsiitis. While I found these shoes to be very comfortable around the house, the first time I actually tried them for walking any distance they were very uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it was because they forced my foot into a different position which worked alternate muscles; however, whatever it was it was extremely painful. My entire foot/leg hurt so bad that I was practically limping. I haven't worn them since.

I ordered this pair of walking shoe/sneaker to replace an identical pair that I have worn out after 3 years. They have great arch support and are very comfortable. The nubuck and mesh is more comfortable than leather for me. The shoe states it is tan and pink. They really are more of a beige/grey blend and the only other color is a small really dark wine/cranberry stitched letter "N" on the top of the shoe. Do not let the color description scare you off. This pair, 3 years later, is exactly the same color and fit as the originals I bought. I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes do the trick. I also have a pair of high arch slippers and Naot sandals to round out my casual shoes and keep my plantar fasciitis in check with no more pain.

I have a high arch and little bit of a wider foot. These shoes were a dream from the very first time I put them on. They do not slide on the heel. My feet are not tired or sore after wearing them all day. I love the fact that they are grey (the other color is orange which I really don't like that much) and they don't look hugh on (I wear an 11). I hope they feel as good to your feet as they do to mine.

I bought these for my wife and she loves them. She is a teacher and is on her feet most of the day. She has commented numerous times about how comfortable they are. Wish they were made in the USA like some other NB models are though.

3.0 out of 5 stars NB Walker not that comfortable!, September 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've purchased New Balance shoes many times and needed something a little bit rugged with good arch support. As I always found this brand to be very comfortable, I was disappointed with it's foot bed because it had a stiffer inner soul and not great arch support.
They are very well made, high quality leather suede, rugged toe protection and a sole that's sure to keep you in place.
As I have very high arches and neuropathy too, finding a shoe that is comfortable and keep the pain at bay.

These boots are excellent, they just don't feel good on my disabled feet!
